Talking of final third bottle jobs. I'm not sure anybody could ever outdo Spurs' bottle job when you were looking at being 13 points ahead of Arsenal in February, leading us 0-2 at the Emirates, to then get spanked 5-2, which was the catalyst for one of the biggest bottle jobs the premier league has ever seen. Then I suppose there was Lasanga-gate .... Fulop-gate... £120m-gate 13 points-gate .... Sugar ghost goal-gate.... There are so many to choose from
Well tbh piskie we can't play any worse than we are at the moment, despite winning our last 2 so a few new heads will be welcomed very much, 5pts off top 4 with half a season to play, more than possible but it will really depend on getting a real goalscorer back in the side asap, if that means studge staying fit and or benteke coming good or a new signing up front (unlikely imo) then we will definitely over take spurs as they slip to their usual 5/7th place. Going to an interesting few months ahead for all involved either way
There should be a poll on this thread 'Which is your favourite Spud bottle job?' HIAG can you add it for us please
An interesting hypothesis. Should Liverpool have gone for Ranieri instead of Klopp? (BBC Football website) What an arrogant comment! Why would Ranieri swap a CL-chasing club for an, at best, 6th or 7th spot one?
Klopp is angry. He has every right to be. He knows that he has edged just that little bit closer to collecting his P45, and being forced to Wallk Alone, out the gates of Klanfield.
He's still got them down for another unbeaten season. 46 points, 13 wins, 7 draws. He's also got West Ham and Watford in the relegation zone and Leicester in 17th. He's a real expert.
Exeter 2 vs 1 'Pool Lawro has predicted a 1-2 win to 'Pool. Again, he seems to have got the score right! It's got to be said, that this 'Pool side is utter ****e! And I'm trying to be fair, here.
The angst on the mouser board will be epic if this score stays the same. I think if Klipperty had realised just what a task he was taking on he'd have stayed in the fatherland!.
Great result for our kids there, klopp again shows his genius with a decimated squad, any other manager with that team out would've lost. Ilori, smith, tex and oji all done well for themselves, benteke Enrique bogdan showing why they are not good enough.
please log in to view this image Another well-deserved curtain call, absolutely. Those who say Exeter only let you draw to get a big payday at Anfield are just being cruel.
Good experience for our young lads, never a good idea to field a weak side in the FA Cup but we've got away with it so far.
