I'm unlikely to defend LVG.

I did think though that you Liverpool fans were big believers in "fakht" rants (even if Stevie GBH finds them embarrassing).

Who gives a **** if you're on the Van Gaal out bandwagon, Fact is his two rants were hilariously embarrassing and you delving into history to attempt to justify it won't change that.

Show me where it's documented that after a run of the mill game that he did the arms aloft, hand holding cringe on a weekly basis at Dortmund.

Thanks x

Run of the mill?

I refer you to when his Dortmund team were battling relegation!! Matts Hummels even went over the crowd to apologise and talk to them.

Is that OTT?

Justify it?

1. don't even know what you're talking about
2. where did I justify it?!

Poor effort Paige!

If you'd ever been to a match, you'd realise that players applaud the fans at the end of every game, some come right over and celebrate with the fans after a good win.

At aways it's custom for the players to come over and applaud the fans irrespective of the result.

What isn't normal is what he orchestrated on Sunday. If Rodgers did that in exactly the same context, you'd have ****ing slaughtered him.

So no evidence of this being what happened every week at Dortmund then? Thanks for clearing that up <ok>

Link isn't loading on my crap connection. I can see the title says "thanks fans" not celebrate.

Let me know if it somehow shows anything different to the full video of the entire event I posted yesterday <ok>

You must log in or register to see media
So you don't think they put their hands up in that clip? Right.

Gets more embarrassing every time you see it.

They swing their arms up twice before breaking into an above the head handclap

At no point are the arms held up for more than a fraction on a second and certainly not in the traditional single or double fisted arm pump associated with celebrations

No evidence? If you watched footy outside the PL, you would know!

I gave you a great example of the players applauding the fans and talking to them, even during a relegation battle!

What would you like me to do? Find a YouTube clip, get the memoirs of a fan who attended the Dortmund games?

Fair enough you find it cringe. A lot of people see it as passionate and engaging. Similar to when your fans invaded the pitch against Bournemouth I believe.

Your wriggling reference to one of our former managers and a former player says you tried to justify the dutch fellers double breakdown Stank.
I still don't know what you're on about Paige. No idea what LVG comments you're referring to and I'm unlikely to justify them anyway. I think this is another one of those conversations that began in your head and has now spilled into the forum! Are you wagging your finger as you type?

Right, maybe it was just a group involuntary reflex. That would explain it.

Lol the fume from rival fans is hilarious!

They're the first to talk about modern footballers being out of touch and then call this cringe!! Make your mind up lads.

Personally I'm not fuming. I do find it ****ing funny though. As Tobes said, had Rodgers orchestrated something like that you would have slaughtered him for being a fraud. The lack of consistency is hilarious.

That's not just cringe it's illegal

However the 3 fans escaped banning orders on the grounds that them not being able to buy another half-season ticket would financially destabilse Everton

"Everton said those fans were welcome to attend Goodison for Monday night’s game against Crystal Palace" [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG]

Fair enough.

However, there were 40 odd thousand fans in the stadium that didn't find it funny or cringeworthy. Instead, they cheered us on and we finally had some atmosphere.

I'll take that any day of the week.

Stop with the aloofness Stank.<laugh>

Recap:LvG's double FACTS rants this season are more embarrassing than Klopp's adulation of the supporters on Sunday and your retro references don't help your cause.<whistle>

I have no idea what you're on about. I suspect you listen to LVG more than I do!
