You can't resist pal. Last few days, numerous mentions, even if I've not posted on the thread in a while, or ever. Weird as **** but to be expected from a tag along like you
Well as impressive a case study as you are, if you wish, I will refrain from mentioning your name from now on.... I'll just refer to you as ****nuts McGee instead.
The reason it happened is because we didn't employ the right manager(s) to replace the outgoing long term legend. And that is what is happening once more. Ergo, time to get that sorted out sharpish instead of simply accepting it.
What if the next guy doesn't work out to your satisfaction (not the clubs, be clear on this). Or the next one. What if Pep and Ancelotti failed too? Its possibly neither will bring instant success. When exactly would it stop?
You need to have a little read before jumping in and assuming I'm saying van Gaal should be sacked, ok? I'm in a conversation with Christian, who seems to think it's all just ok to be losing to clubs like Bournemouth because it's happened before. I think that's bollocks, I think we're in a position that says we really should be beating newly promoted Bournemouth and not actually bloody worrying about them. We had some injuries, so did they. They are who they are, as are we ffs. The management are creating a situation where the players think they are beatable and other clubs think we're beatable. THAT is what needs to be sorted. Get some ****ing swagger in the team.
Well I agree. We shouldn't be accepting defeat to Bournemouth or any side. And injuries don't excuse us either, though should be noted. Nor should we be expecting it.
Bottom line is, he needs to pick things up between now and season end. Massively. The chance is still there, instead of saying we should all lower our expectations let's say the bloody opposite and say we're going start beating teams, starting with Norwich at home. Again, it's ****ing Norwich! What we going to say, let's hope for a draw? If the slump does continue though then I would expect a manager change again, yes.
I can't disagree. And yes, its bloody annoying those expecting draws. I think they think it's funny, but its not. A won v Norwich is a must. Don't care how, just win.
I don't disagree with that. In fact I don't think he should be sacked. He does need to get his head out of his arse though.
I think that is the problem though, he would refuse to pull his head out of his arse and insist that it is supposed to be there.
He'd pull his head out of his arse, shout "Louis Van Gaal's army" and then stick it right back up again.
Then tell us that Utd managers not having their heads up their arse is part of the Utd of the past. Along with attacking, winning and being remotely easy on the eye.
This is the reality Talk of a weakened side or Bournemouth being a very good side is a complete misdirection to anyone who saw the game. Bournemouth's midfield was gaping like a $50 ho. You could have driven a tank through it. We dominated but did fck all going forward bcos we lack any imagination or creativity. It's the same insecure football. Van Gaal's answer to his critics was to punt it upfield quicker but it's still predictable ****e just with fewer passes If Van Gaal thinks this is what attacking football is then fck me he's worse than I thought. Ball out wide and crossed in. Martial constantly playing with his back to goal. There's no co-ordinated interplay between our midfield and attack. Still no runners getting in behind the defence and no through balls. At 1-1 Bournemouth looked awful. They were there to be hammered. The 11 United players on the pitch were more than capable of doing that.
Rooney Schweinsteiger Schneiderlin Jones Smalling Darmian Herrera Shaw I've left out two others as they are not first reamers. The above are. That's 8 out of 11. Its fair to say they are our first team, mostly. Rooney is debatable, the rest, not at all. So that's the vast, vast majority of our first team missing. That is the reality of the situation and every club on earth would struggle. They do struggle. Some clubs only need to lose one player and they can be destroyed by lesser teams.... Losing 3/4 of the starting line up would lead them to quitting football. We've fielded stronger sides against non league opposition.
When you see them listed it shows the talent we have missing. Herrera, Smalling and Shaw the biggest one missing. Herrera's energy in midfield is so important in games as nobody can really replicate his ability to turn defence into attack. Its no excuse for losing and we should have scored more, not based on the line up, but on the game itself. We had the chances but didn't take them. Again.
If you agree that it's no excuse for losing and that we were still capable of scoring more, then why are we still talking about injuries. That's all I'm saying. Two parts of that game were damning for me. Firstly that we didnt rip them apart at 1-1 when we were dominating. And secondly, how completely gutless our players looked after Bournemouth scored their second.
To be fair it wasn't that long ago that you agreed with LVG's decision to drop Herrera as he scuffed a shot. Now his presence in midfield is so important? Inconsistent.
Not sure I did but once again, ok... I have said he's vital to that transition between defence and attack though.
Because we should be expecting to win every game, regardless of the line up. That doesn't mean we have to ignore them though. Do you disagree they have had an effect? Cant disagree with your assessment either. We did really well to come back in the first to then completely give up after they scored again. Why not just repeat the first half passion?
