So hes missed a few sitters. What about all the screamers he has scored? United, one in the europey hes your second top joint goalscorer and he had the creative talents of milner lucas and allen behind him the last match alongside firmino who's been pants most of the year and mr ibe hold onto the ball wannabe sterling

So you are happy to back Mario and moan about people criticising Mario but you are happy to quickly slate benteke for the same performances with the goals? Make up your mind....

I didnt. Just pointing out the hypocrisy at your defending of Mario and instant slating of benteke. You liked Mario and you haute benteke and from the start that's always been your view

Because when he's in the team, we struggle to create. So when chances do go his way, I'd expect him to put them away. Especially since he doesn't create his own chances nor create for others.

As I've said before, yes he will score goals (not as many as people like to think) but his performances are terrible and detrimental to the overall team.

And our creative talents seem to do a lot better when he's not starting ... ?

I like Mario - but he wouldn't suit this team.

Difference is - Mario didn't cost £32.5m and isn't a natural number 9. His instincts aren't to get into the box.

Benteke is supposed to be a number 9 but can't be arsed to get into the box!

And for all the hurrah about Mario's work rate, I believe he covered the most ground amongst forwards last season. Yet, fans are defending Benteke.

You talk about hypocrisy - you're looking at the wrong person.

And I don't hate benteke. I just don't rate him. I didn't rate him at Villa. I still don't rate him now. And he's done nothing t convince me otherwise.

there is no point mentioning the goals he's got or the fact that every striker misses chances (like lukaku hitting the bar and post last night or suarez the season before he hit 31 goals)

the problem is now its he's not a great scorer. Poor lad got 1 in 2 for a dire villa side in his time there. is only 24 and hit 11 in 9 games to save villa when sherwood game in.

If anything the MAIN issue with benteke is his fitness record. its not as bad as sturridge but he misses quite a few games a year. there is no doubt he will score lot of goals for us.

I have to wonder which system klopp will settle on in the end. It could be 4-2-3-1 but he's experimented along the way and has played the false 9 and two up now. We have not yet seen benteke and sturridge together so it'll be interesting to see where we get to.

Benteke, fimino, ibe and origi all need time and development with Klopp. Ibe are young and have a lot to learn about effectiveness and consistency.

Firmino needs to come to terms with the variety of roles he is being asked to play in and he is in a new league. He's played best in the false 9 role but then quite poorly in the second line of attackers so he needs time.

why should benteke not get a bit of time from klopp too. He's had a new club to come too, a manager and style change to deal with and injuries too. I view him as a vital player for us. We can't have just sturridge any more than in 2009 could we have just torres. Keane was vital to us then and his sale killed our season

If I'm honest, I'd prefer Benteke to come on for the last 20-30 mins, offers something different, but I agree with Jimmy, we struggle to creat chances when Benteke is in the team.

I said you're biased against benteke and milner. I never called you a hypocrite. the evidence all over not606 is you'll have nothing good to say about two players in particular and will lay the blame for everyone on them and sltate them constantly. we do understand.

I'm confident that mr balotelli will end up in a bad place while benteke will be a good honest player for us and work hard. Klopp will detemrine which he will dump... I'm fairly sure he won't be dumping benteke too quick

As an impact sub, designed to completely change the way we play, absolutely. He'd be good at that but he wouldn't accept a bench role.

Mario is finished. Neither Are good enough.

Benteke isn't hard working though - he doesn't press or work the channels. Firmino and Ibe were running 20-30 yards PAST Benteke to do his pressing for him. Even Sturridge worked harder then him.

Also, hypocrite comment wasn't at you. <ok>

And I'm not biased against Benteke or Milner. They're both ****. Arguably the worst signings of the summer.

Now that Milner is getting regular game time, people are recognising that he's nothing more than a yard dog.

I can't see either being at the club after next summer.

Also your stats are made up about tge number of goals. I'm not going to include the goals scored when hes not been on the pitch but since the chelsea match the pool team has scored 8 goals when hes been on the pitch in 7 matches of which benteke has assisted 2 and scored 2 in this down period.

He probably doesnt suit your style but then again hes not really had much time to bed in.

6 goals in 9 matches that he's started.

    15 in 7 when he hasn't.

    fair enough.

Herr Klopp needs to decide and frankly he blamed the entire forward line including milner, ibe and firmino for not pressing AND the entire midfield too. He's big on team and they all have to work together.
