You might not get everyone's back up if you stopped displaying such an astonishing level of arrogance and intellectual superiority. The fact that nobody rises to your bait has more to do with the fact that we don't want to become embroiled in a lengthy argument which can only degenerate into a slanging match. You have shown a remarkable ability to reject all opinions which are contrary to your own, never acknowledging any merit in any of them and then putting your opponents down with comments like that. Who do you think you are?

You've made your point over and over again. We don't agree and we don't want to debate it ad nauseam. Just back off and think before you post on this again.

As listed throughout this thread, we all have an opinion on who should be our next manager.
We, the fans, who have supported this great club thru thick & thin, scrutinized each and every word we hear for the betterment of our club.
The general rule of thumb seemly resembles that all we want is a manger who can stabilize our team and steer them on the right path.
We have no interest as to the politics of the appointment, just the facts on getting the right person.
For all apparent reason, Neil Warnock's name is often favoured to settle our players, get them singing the same tune and whether that means 'playoffs' or not, probably fair to say .................. we just want stability ................ anything else is a bonus.
We are not greedy fans, we just want to somewhat enjoy the playing group on offer.
    Are we asking too much?

One point I made has been jumped on by numerous posters and tried to shut it down without being able to raise a single point against it.

The reason is because they can't. If that gets people's back up then that isn't suprising

Next it will be Laurel & Hardy or possibly Morcombe & Wise.
Just give it to Warnock and get over it.

Maybe ;-)! But Wise and Stam weren't mentioned together as a team, and have the advantage if being alive, and with football on their CV's

Colin has said No 863 times now!

You make some valid points Oslo but you know the more Colin says no, the more he'll say yes. Well, that's what l'm hoping.

Think Colin is sounding a bit more coy about it now.

Agreed. No secret he wants it now. They would be foolish to go with an untried, untested manager with NW looking like he's got is playing.

I reckon there's some brinksmanship going on behind the scenes.

Listening to the post match interviews, I have a suspicion that Neil Warnock wants the role full time but I think he wants that without Sir Les as DoF.

I read this morning that Dennis Wise and Kenny Jackett are now also in the frame.

If it were up to me, I'd give it to Neil Warnock until the summer and think again then.

I so agree with you Sku.
We will be really **** over if they don't go with Colin now. The players are with him.....if it is not Colin, the new manger will not have a chance

I think you are dreaming. If Colin gave that interview at the westend of the M5, sitting beside her indoors, or asked directly if he wanted it full time, I'm not at all sure you'd think he wants it now. He was talking about the Reading game, no more. Maybe he's changing his mind, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I never wanted Colin sacked, and would love it if he came back. But... he's moved on, has said he's done with managing full-time, he lives miles away, I'm sure he loves it when he's doing it, but he's getting to an age when most need an easier life.

Absolutely. The nightmare of the last 4 years would not have happened if Tone had shown a bit more patience when he got rid of him first time. Colin will have remembered the shabby way he was dispatched then and won't want to hang around for a repeat performance. It would be interesting to speculate what might have happened had he stayed. Probability is we might well have survived a bit more comfortably than we did under Hughes.

I know that some think Hughes played a blinder in getting us to win the last six at home on the trot. However, let's not forget that after his debut in charge at Villa we did not pick up another point away from home all season and, frankly put in some spineless performances. Under Colin we would have had a go away from home and might well have picked up a couple more wins and draws on the road.

If we had gone down we wouldn't be up **** creek as a result of the reckless speculating with our club's finances indulged in by Hughes and Redknapp. I have little doubt we would probably have gone up first time of asking and Warnock would have retired in the interim leaving the club on a sound financial footing and a decent squad to build on.

And we would all have lived happily ever after

Seems Sir Les has won the battle.

Well based on the fact that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Tony Fernandes have just followed each other on Twitter.
