Kyle Naughton is class, Great going forward and solid at the back. He is lightning and has an eye for goal and a rocket of a shot. He was the best right back in the championship last season by some distance and wont look out of place in the prem. Its just a shame he didnt come back here. Good luck next season lads
He certainly would be a great signing for us, good competition for martin.. I though will be VERY VERY suprised if this comes off but i will honestly be a bit disspointed if its only a loan should the deal happen. I think stumping up the cash would be a wise move for him on a perminent signing, potential sell on value if he was to excel would be alot higher.
Has quite a large price tag on him. Think we were quoted £6-7m by Spurs. Looks likely to be a loan deal for you if it comes off - and if it does then think player of the season for you. Very quick, likes to attack - scored some absolute thunderbolts for us last season, and defends well. Ou of all of the players that were on loan to us last season, the preferred option to get back for this season was Kyle. Gives a good post match interview as well. Good luck in the Prem - you were the best team to play in Leicester last year, and thoroughly deserved your promotion. Think your team ethic may just keep you up next season.
Leicester fan in peace. Naughton is absolute quality, was probably our best player last season, if you get him it will be a real coup. Alot of Sheffield United fans believed him to be a better player than Kyle Walker, who was also there at the same time. Good luck for the rest of the season!
this wouldn't be a great signing if it came off... ...it would be magical! this kid is a future england star - 50/60 caps easy. can't believe spurs will want to sell him so i guess it will only be a loan deal which is a shame, but he would improve the team. russell martin is a personal favourite of mine and i'd love to see him prosper in the top flight but there can be no room for sentiment - its all about improving steadily towards survival. nice words from the leicester fans too
Gents, If you get Kyle Naughton I'll be very, very jealous. For me he already has all the necessary attributes to become a great RB: pace, good distribution, can link up in attack and also defend. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the England squad one day and is definitely ready for the Premier League.
Martin was fantastic last year but it would be very unlikely that he plays every game again in the R B position... If he gets injured or knackered we will definately need a quality back up... Lets hope we sign him
I just cant see it happening, the likes of villa sniffing around aswell... An unbelieveble coup was it to come off though!
........didn't the same happen with jacko last year. the negotiation and signing would be mcnallys province anyway.
You're rightbut I get the feeling that with transfers, PL is very much a 'hands on' manager, but, by the same token, DM knows exactly the type of player fits in with PL's vision!
seems pretty obvious to me (assuming the story is true). lambert has told mcnally "i wants naughton - go and get him for me!" mcnally isn't choosing who we sign!! he is just doing the deals... simples.
just as i type that..... http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2398696,00.html? confirmation - we have signed him! breathtaking deal!! shame its only on loan though
Praise the lord for lambert and mcnally, i am SHOCKED at this signing, a qaulity player to round off our summer spending which is now at its conclusion....
Great signing for you. Good luck for the season. He is class player and he proved he can mix it with the big boys when we played Man City in the FA cup
Very happy with this signing. there will be moaners that say we should have got a centre back, but we look strong at the back and I have faith in that area tbh. Lambert says thats it. We'll see......
I have an inkling and it's getting inklinger. Just a feeling. But could mean Rudd is now official backup? Seeing him the other day I'd ask fans to forgo the image of him as a kid. He's a man now and probably more than capable.
Put it this way, saturday lambert said he was fine with the squad he had built, though you never stop looking at strengthening he was happy with what he had got... 5 days later we have our 7th signing! Cant wait to see the boys next week at southend...
