If henners comes in it will be a luxury thing, possibly a last minute deal. It isn't essential as I do believe that lambert is happy with the squad he's assembled. Lambert has been quick and decisive like no manager we've ever seen at this club and it's very exciting. All of them young and hungry with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Some neglected and cast out to rot only to rise again (ala holty "ryman prem to barclays prem") All in all. Very very pleased.
This seems like an outstanding signing! Loving the feedback from Leicester about him! I am really starting to believe in the squad we have assembled! None of our signings are likely to come in with big egos and with all of them there is reason to believe that they will genuinely improve a winning team! ILWT!
That wasnt even his best goal. He scored a 35 yarder against Barnsley
Got a good feeling about the lad. With him and Russell Martin, who's already awesome, epic competition for that place methinks.
Btw I did have a quick look over on the pinkun and they are, naturally, questioning if lambert is any good because we haven't bought a knackered out 40 year old centre back looking for a one off payment in the big time. Have GOT to stop looking at that place it makes me so angry why the hell do I do it!
Lol I think most of them want him or sol Campbell or something. They were gutted enough we didn't get dyer with his "experience" Yeah. Because whitbread and Barnett look rubbish. Don't they? Barnett looks as good as he did. This excites me more than a knackered out hack with nothing to offer us on the field. Like I said, have to stop looking at that site, proper rubber necking at the train crash.
I'm all for the youthful hungry approach, if it ain't broke etc...........I don't want any old Premier League has beens . Once again St Paul has performed another miracle. Snatched a gem from under the noses of Kew Pee Arrrgh. With all the positive feedback from the Leicester fans I for one am happy Off now for a cold beer, 35*C here, what's it like at home?????
Correct me if I am wrong but....................... Last time we had a great run in the top division (late 80's & early 90's) we did it with a majority of 'unknown' and 'unproven' players at that time. I know the PL has changed dramatically since those days but I happy to go along with Lambo and what he is trying to do and see what he can produce. Too many people believe that big money is the only route to success! That might be true for long term success but that is not what we are looking for here and now. Short term success for Norwich and a lot of other clubs is survival and a platform to build on. If we survive 1 or 2 seasons (or more) the cash will accumulate and bigger money signings will come as the team try to push on-wards and upwards.
Brilliant signing, Lambert has some serious headaches, loving the fact we have a young team, feel really confident about this year.
IMHO even if the worst came to the worst we would have a helluva team/squad back in the Championship and afterall that's exactly what the '7 year plan' anticipated. Personally I think we can and will survive and that puts us well ahead of schedule .............. the futures bright the futures Yellow and Green ILWT OTBC
Naughton is a prem quality signing - Good luck to him and you guys next season - i wish we managed to get him back
