Hopefully we see Sturridge get a few mins tonight so that he's ready for Swansea. Him in front of Coutinho and Firmino are a wet dream.
Even if he gets some time tonight I'd still expect him to be on the bench v Swansea he's not going to be ready to start.
I think with Firmino or Sturridge up top, we'll find it easier to break down the stubborn teams. Teams/defenders love playing a physical game, winning high balls etc. That's their nature. What they don't like is movement and speed. Swansea will try and play an expansive game so I think there will be space to exploit. My concern is that they do like to pass and they could bypass our press which could leave us exposed.
You clearly haven't seen Swansea play this season, they are direct and launch it from deep or play down the channels. Our worry will be them sitting back and trying to soak up the pressure and us not breaking them down, I agree with our movement being key we need an early goal, it should then be an easy game.
Is Jurken Klopp trying to convert Firmino to striker. He missed a sitter against city on Saturday. Raheem Sterling missed a sitter for city last night also.
Really? You're right - I haven't seen them play, I naturally expected their usual passing style. Strange - why have they changed styles?
Monk is struggling, the most common pass for Swansea this season is Williams to Gomis straight down the middle. The Swans fans are not a happy bunch at the moment.
Not according to the Swansea fans.... They seem to think they can't pass the ball this year and are going more route one to gomis
