When are you going to get over the fact you had injuries?

Jonny - what you need to realise is that officially Sunderland, from January to June, had more injuries (more 1st team players injured) than ANY other side in the league. Over 2000 minutes were missed over the season due to injuries at Sunderland. Significantly more than any other club in the league. These were all 1st team players, not squad players.

We were the better side and finished where all SAFC fans aimed for at the start of the season and exactly where we wanted. We had aspirations of Europe thanks to a fantastic start but no-one predicted europe before the season started and majority of us were happy with 10th

I'm sorry but I think if you look at the final league table, you will find you were actually not as good as us.........or our B team for that matter that saw out the season.

In fact and these are hardened facts not something from Aesop's fables as most craas quote from, we have been the best NE team for 3 consecutive seasons, one of which I think you will find you were not even in the same division as us.

Have a good second season syndrome HMT. I'm sure all your new signings will be world class, your manager tactically astute, your fans well behaved and your owner benevolent to the last. :smiley-finger007:

Come on, instead of chatting your usual ****, what makes you think Cabaye injury prone. Back things up instead of talking ****.

Marcus - You had a few more players then average missing games, but so did we with injuries and suspensions but we aren't trying to ram it down other peoples throats like Cestria (Every other one of his posts seems to be about the same thing, it's like that's all he knows).

Hopefully less injuries for both teams this season (both off to a bit of a **** start though for that <laugh> ) and both teams do well in the league/ cups, with us doing better of course ;)

"Cabaye struggled with ankle injuries in the 2006–07 campaign featuring in only five league matches in the first three months of the season. He scored his first goal of the year on 26 August 2006 in a 3–0 victory over Bordeaux.[16] On 4 November, he scored his second goal of the season in another 3–0 victory, this time against rivals Valenciennes.[17] Cabaye consistently appeared with the team in the league and Champions League before suffering a relapse of his previous ankle injury in a league match against Le Mans in March 2007. He was substtituted out of the match and was subsequently rested for the rest of the season."

Now, call me old fashioned but thats hardly an injury free career is it? He obviously has ankle problems and the hardened winter pitches and tougher physical standards of the EPL are hardly going to be helpful to that problem are they?

You see, you call it ****e. I just call them facts you dont like to hear.

I await your reply with great anticipation ****wit.

So a 25 year old who had an injury 4 years ago is injury prone.<doh>

Please show me a 25 year old player that has never had an injury<laugh>

You like facts

Cabayes apps record

Season 07-08 40 appearances
Season 08-09 35 appearances
season 09-10 46 appearances
season 10-11 48 appearances

I hope that all our players are as injury prone as him.

I can't wait to read your reply

Grow up haha.

Looks like I was well beaten to proving you wrong, never mind.

edit - He did also play 33 times in the season he had an injury(06-07) and 37 before then(05-06) :)

Where were all of you poe-faced Mags when Joker posted an article gloating over O'Shea's injury?

Don't recall one Mag saying it was a low thing to do then... only that he might have somehow jinxed your own team!

Standards are great but double standards are pathetic.

Well, when meyler (spelling) got injured for the second time, I posted an article wishing him well and saying what a shame it was that a young player should have such bad luck, but if you really need to claim the moral high ground then go ahead.

Thanks for the cool story bro but the question was where were you all when a similar article was posted on your boards a few days ago... it's specifically aimed at those on here whinging about how horrid the Sunderland fans are.

I didn't even bother reading the article. I don't tend to read anything that the joker writes, and O'shea suffering a minor injury is not really newsworthy on the Newcastle board is it?

Hey Jonny

For someone who was awaiting your reply with great anticipation, cestriamackem ****ed off pretty quick didn't he?

Only a complete fool would post a link to a site that completely destroys his own arguement.

Not all Sunderland fans, just ones that poke fun at injuries when the club has injured players of its own. Nobody needs to tell Joker that he's stooping low, because he never posts anything worthwhile anyway. I made a comment about it biting us on the arse. I'm not superstitious and don't believe it jinxes us, but you could've guaranteed we'd suffer an injury. I've told people since I've started posting on forums not to post gloating articles like that, as it just makes everyone else look stupid in the long run.

Just been thinking that, he probably regrets posting what he did there about Cabaye. Nice one on getting the statistics, he will hate that.
I expect him to give us some abuse when he turns up, seems to be what he does.
