There were some particularly nasty bastards amongst the Nazis and Japanese but most of the soldiers that die in wars, on all sides, are decent young men who would have had most of their lives to look forward to. When I observe the minute or two of silence I reflect on the senseless waste of life and am thankful that my generation has not had to endure such horror.

I'm sure that's true but not quite on the scale of the Nazis and Japs.

So are you saying Ross County - or any other Club - cannot have a minute's silence for whichever reason they choose to announce? He said it as an official of Ross County, he had clearly been authorised to make such an announcment so the announcement was made and duly ignored, so in effect the throwbacks in the away end behaved no better than the Bosnian fans, who, if we are to accept as fact, booed France for being anti Islamic...in their view.

Surely that's political too and both sets of fans are to be applauded for their bold stance.

No, they booed because the oirish were shouting "Palestine" during what was supposed to be a minutes silence.

    It is disingenuous.

They tried the same tactic at a Cliftonville game before. It just so happens that it is the same day people do it to celebrate mass British murders.

    'Fraid I'm not buying it.

It wasn't booed anyway, a song about a man killed by the Glorious British Army was sung was it not?
