Arsenal's highest paid player gets £130k a week, they obviously wouldn't entertain paying anyone £600k a week, however good they are.

I'd think there would be plenty of other clubs other than Arsenal he'd consider.
He's already at the club who are currently the best team in the world, why would he want to go anywhere?
It's no big deal for him, the worst he can expect is a slap on the wrist and the repayment of a couple of million. His dad's in more trouble and could get banged up, making it even less likely he'd want to leave Spain.
I think you will find he's not got that attitude and he'll be playing for a Premier League club next season. He hates Spain now and it's not a question of practicalities.
