There was a lot of dodgy stuff going on back then, as I'm sure you might remember. So yeah, you wouldn't call it 100% kosher, but it wasn't outright thievery. Sollys, Goldman, Morgan, all got their mates at the SEC on the case. They decided he'd got too big for his boots ( plus, of course, he wouldn't share!)
Whoever would've thought that a company like that would act in an unethical manner? Never happen nowadays, of course.
Ethics is east of London. Wherever large sums of money are involved, ethics seem to be in short supply. That doesn't just apply to The City!
It does apply rather heavily there, though. That's not really the issue, for me. People acting like arseholes is to be expected. People paying off politicians or their parties to enable them to do so is corruption.
In all honestly though, I think he could be a casualty for Chelsea once this calamitous season concludes. There are some players there who clearly do not want to play for Mourinho anymore and there will be others who could basically walk into most teams in Europe and might agitate for a move away.
Yeh he must be off. I think he's a bloody good player who could achieve a heck of a lot more at one of the elite clubs on the continent.
