If Maart would sign with us, I'd give him a guarantee of all cup games at least. Big fan of the beast, but MS has won me over big time. I can't even imagine having two top quality keeps on the books at the same time, seriously.

The danger with promising all cup games to the second string keeper, is that Forster may see the cups as our only, real chance of winning something.
If he knew the nearest he would come to a cup winners medal, was a seat on the bench, he may think it time to move on.

Does it say that? He seems to be saying he is committed to us this season and then he goes on to talk about the problem of getting in the Dutch side.

Yes he's committed to us this season. If he wants to be the Dutch No. 1 he will need to be first choice somewhere next season and we can't say that. Someone will snap him up if he continues to do well with us.

When Sweden play Denmark this weekend, the scoreboard will display the following:

SWE - DEN

The un-used letters that remain are:

DEN- MARK

WOW! How about that then? Made me chuckle.

But the remaining letters would always spell the other country. Like Cyprus v Russia and Poland v Andorra. :(

Isn't Yoshida tall compared to his team mates...it's that lovely Hampshire air.

I know they are notoriously shortish in Japan but I didn't think the blokes were less than 5'7½" on average. Maya is 6'2". Contrariwise, we have Clasie at 5'7" from the tallest average male race in the World, the Dutch [very nearly averaging 6'1"]. Saints buck the trend in every which way, with Maya being taller than the average Dutchman, while Clasie is shorter than the average Japanese male. :)

Whereas of course the famous baseball catcher "Yogi" Berra was smarter than the average Berra... <whistle>
