I said a couple of weeks ago that Livermore looked like a gaffer / boss in midfield...
it was great to see a couple of live matches while I was back. Listening to games on RH is very nervy bloody heart racing. Yesterday was awesome to be able to relax with 5 mins to go.

Big difference compared to last time under Bruce is that this time we are self sufficient and not reliant on loan signings, with only akpom a reg starter as a loan player, last time we had meyler, Brady, Elmo and whichever keeper was on loan at the time in the team. Also under browny we were very reliant on that little ****er up top too
There are loads of wrinklies on here, Ian. At 51 you're only mid-table.
What worries me is I feel Bruce has accidentally "stumbled" into this way of playing.. If this is a winning formula, Meyler & Livermore in midfield, Elmo right wing, 4 at the back etc... then why havnt we always played like that?
Even a few months ago we were switching to a 3-5-2, or even a 4-3-3 at times... then for whatever reason we played 4-4-2 with Meyler & Livermore and went on a decent run, now, as many people are saying, we're playing some really good football and scoring goals. So yeah, has Bruce just got lucky and after lots of tinkering finally found a way for us to play?
