I am thinking about sending out the PM's tomorrow night, so that those in teams have 24 hours to get their heads around the rules. That way the QT boards will be open from Saturday, but the game wont start until Sunday night.

Does that sound like an ok idea to everyone? Or will it just make it frustrating that you can't start?

As soon as you send the PMs the game will start irrelevant of what you do or say from that point <ok>

If you do that you'll prob have to lock this thread as well as game thread so people don't start playing the game on here.
would be easier for me because gives me Sunday to read the rules rather than doing it Monday at work.

I might do it very late on Saturday night/Sunday morning and then lock this thread like you say <ok>
 
Depending on how the dice roll, this game could be over before we start! There are a **** load of bullets <laugh>

It's all down to how the two gangs of bandits play. If they go high risk then they could kill loads of players on night one - but they might wipe themselves out doing so. If both gangs target the same people/premises then it could be a bloodbath. Still leaves the SK and CB to find though.

The town are pretty powerless to control the pace of the game. The town appears to have very limited ways of finding out who the bandits are (or even who the rest of town are) - but there are ways of it doing it if they look!

Finished. Only took 90 minutes <laugh> (had to re-read a few times)


RE; nightfall... obviously, you don't want us to know exactly when they will be but have you got set times written down for each night? Or are you going to sit and wait until a certain person is at threat of dying before calling time? <laugh>


For once, I genuinely don't what a important role. I'd love to be a regular townie (if that exists) this time [HASHTAG]#toocomplicated[/HASHTAG] <laugh>


PS...I usually re-read the rules a few times whilst playing the game, can't see that happening this time.

I hadn't written down any exact times. Mainly cos I will probably have gone for a *** and end up missing the time. Might not be a bad idea though so that everyone can see it is totally impartial. To be honest though, if it goes the way I am expecting then I wont be able to keep up with the voting in the last 15/20 minutes anyway <laugh>

Did you notice anything that looks glaringly unbalanced? I am sure there will be things, but everytime I thought of a way of balancing it it just took it the other way when I played it out in my head.

The money will be the easy bit. I've got a system in place on the QT boards to keep easy track of it. I reckon it could take ages to work out all the actions though - especially on night one and two (which might be all we have if it goes wrong!!). I'm going to have to go through it step by step each night and work out who is dead before their action comes up - assuming lots of people die each night - which is the idea to have the game over in about 5 nights.

I thought the serial killer having 100% accuracy but a hire guns (aka professional killers) only having 70% was a bit weird but I can see why you've done that.

Can't say anything else really stuck out to me. Probably forgot more than I remember already <laugh>

I like the game setup though. Having money involved makes it better imo. No restrictions on what teams can do, its up to them to manage their budget <ok>

There where some roles with rules that i thought made the first night actions obvious. I won't say any more than that though as I don't want to give anything away.
