The reason I asked that, but you know full well that BBH is still on here and posting in another guise. You've even interacted with him and quite often I've noticed since his ban. Yet you still post on this thread asking ... Maybe you think you're being clever and have got one over on the mods. I'm bemused by it all myself, I thought we had a good relationship on here. I fully expect you to play the innocent and claim that you didn't realise it was him, but I've seen it mate. You've been rumbled along with a few of your cronies who were all in on it.
The 'ignore' feature is a useful feature but not a fool proof one. It would take a very disciplined poster to maintain it's purpose without taking a peek at the content every now and then. I doubt that poster's that are on 'ignore' would remain so when you have a thread that's 'kicking off.' You'd be completely mad to have someone on ignore when there's some drama to be had. It's also difficult to stick someone on ignore once they've already made a personal attack on you. You're going to answer them back and await a response. From then on it's a downward slope. It's too late to use the ignore feature.
Wow, even in exile these 2 are bringing the blood nicely to the boil - this has obviously not been an easy decision or one taken lightly by you, Beth & Tramore. You may even be exacerbated by the "abnormal" fixation with these 2 from apparent adults, however, and in our defense your honours, this place whether just as a voyeur, occasional poster or addict has sadly formed a part of our lives, as such it is only natural when 2 of the "louder" ones in the class are not with us, some of us would like to know if it is a suspension or expulsion - on my part pure curiosity. Again your choice as you are to ensure that this place maintains and progresses with traffic in a generally orderly manner, mostly about QPR and as a font of light relief. How you have weighed this again up to you, but I will state this, those that have left because of Swords or BBH have had the option of ignore, the no brainer of switching off when it has all kicked off and the drama is ongoing is a misnomer in my mind. If those that have left have had a say in your decision then I would purely like you to take note of mine - For me the class will be a poorer place for their absence -

Well ellers I had over. 25000 posts to my name there and was banned more times than joey Barton by myu and the Estonian hamster worrier krill's...but I think they are trying to get more intellectual posters over there now as one has just published a novel and another recites poetry....

Sad really Facto because you are one of the names i remember from that site many years ago I also remember a bloke called Pete who once got everyone to tune in for some news but it ended up being cr2p and loads of posters were left fuming.
Okay danish, without trying to sound completely exasperated by this saga I'll try once more. BBH - He was on a permanent site ban. I bought him back to the site in a show of good will poster amnesty. ( This was also given to Cerny who didn't take up my offer. ) Despite being in the last chance saloon, bbh still couldn't help himself by getting a bit close to the mark on quite a few threads. Especially the off-topic ones. For the sake of board harmony we decided to let these go. Even after a few requests to think twice about what he posted and to self moderate a bit more he ignored us and chose to post in the same vein. This came to a head recently after a few close episodes which culminated in him questioning a mods credentials and propositioning their daughter. This bought about a closer inspection into the user and it was then discovered that bbh had dual accounts. This is a permanent ban regardless of anything else. Our forum's rules and more importantly the site's rules state that anyone found or discovered to be in possession of dual accounts will be banned permanently. Case closed. Swords - I've never come across a poster who rather strangely has as many cronies as he has detractors. It would appear that those posters who have lamented Swords ban have never been subjected to his wumming, baiting, bullying etc. Call it what you will it all amounts to the same thing. Just sticking him on ignore is a rather romantic notion but as pointed out in a post above it's not as easy as that. Once again the posters who say just 'stick him on ignore' probably haven't been on the receiving end of the forum cat. You might be singing a different tune had you had the misfortune of being the recipient of the board's cat's claws. No other single poster has caused the mods on here more hours of sifting through posts and threads researching complaints and infringements made against him. He has been banned more than any other poster on this forum and has been the subject of umpteen warnings. Did he take heed? No of course not, he had to push and push every single time. He couldn't help himself. Of course most of the posters on here couldn't give a **** about that. As long as you're not on the receiving end and your getting entertained at some other sod's expense it's all good. We do however have a set of forum rules and guidelines. How steadfastly we apply these is at our discretion. In Swords case he has benefited from our benevolence far more than he deserved. Did he acknowledge or show his appreciation to us for that? Did he ****, he threw it back in our faces repeatedly. Again as in bbh's bit above, despite numerous requests to curtail his posts he got more and more carried away. He couldn't help himself and admitted as much. As far as he was concerned this was his stage and it was all about him. This is by his own admission btw. So when you come on here bleating about his absence, just remember that when you post on here you can jump in and out at will. Whether you're just a voyeur, an infrequent or indeed a frequent poster you drift off back to the real world. You don't have to try and clear up the carnage that's been left behind. Or worse still, have been victimised and subjected to his personal agenda. If you don't quite grasp why the bans have been enforced and try to justify why they should still be posting on here. Try re-reading the above. Hopefully you'll eventually get it.

Yes ellers Pete had a big drum in qblock but many accused him of being a Chelsea fan as he looked a bit like frank lebeff thecold centre half!
I have been pointed in the direction of some new accounts. BBH was banned for the right reasons and i support that decision and not for the first time. I always leave posters to play in their own little domain but as consequence of what has been reported to me, the Barnsley board will now be getting my attention
A masterfully worded and comprehensive post, Nines. What's sad about Swords is all the crap that comes with the good stuff. As someone who hasn't been harried by him (but is nevertheless fully sympathetic with those that have), I enjoyed many of his posts. But I well remember BrixtonR being driven mad by the amount of time he was spending trying to solve problems from just this one poster. That Brix has been gone for a couple of years now is testament to the fact that this board has been more than tolerant to Swords. He was given chance after chance. It could not go on forever.
Cheers Goldie, I really didn't want myself to come across as an authoritative arsehole, because like you I too mainly enjoyed Swords posts. They genuinely gave me some real belly laugh moments. It's a great shame because when Dr Jekyll was posting everything was fine and dandy, but then for some strange and curious reason Mr Hyde would come out and takeover. If I had the ability to post like the former that would be kudos enough for me. Sadly though that wasn't enough for Swords. It became too exhausting in the end. I've wasted too many hours of my precious life on this stuff and as you said, it couldn't go on forever.
I'll tell you what's offensive. The grammar in the thread title. Pull your socks up Kiwi, not good enough, there could be youngsters reading and they'll never get a job in Lidl if they can't conjugate the verb 'to be'.
