O'Shea and Kaboul are back in contention for Sunderland after missing out through injury against Everton. Not that I think they're particularly good CB's anyway, but probably better then their other options.

None of their CB's is any good, so it makes no difference who'll be playing. :D I'm worried about Catermole not playing though, that's a bitter blow to our chances. Hopefully they have someone equally ****e to replace him.

As **** as O'Shea and Kaboul are they're better than Coates and Jones/Rodwell

What ever happened to Vergini

Article referring to Koeman saying it is still wait and see with Tadic. Tadic says he is better able to withstand a tough PL season this year, whereas Ron pointed out that it is still early days...Tadic was fine in November last season, let's judge in December. I hope Tadic is right, but we do have a deeper squad this year (although in general we still play roughly the same team).

I took it as tongue in cheek and gave back in return. I lived in Portsmouth for a few years so I know the south coast isn't exactly tropical.

1. There is a dark cloud over that place that blocks out the sun
2. How long ago? Have you managed to wash out the smell yet?

Well, I am hoping for a 4-0 nil win, 2 in each half, in a dominant, but equally distributed performance between the two halves. I am also hoping that none of our players has to make a mistimed tackle and that we incur no yellow cards which might lead to a suspension. The goals should be scored by different players, with a headed goal, a sweet volley, a penalty and one from a set piece.

I believe that this would reduce the amount of angst on the South coast, and that most would consider it a "reasonably acceptable" result/performance.<laugh>

Not forgetting of course than

Not forgetting beforehand the club ditch the awful green/blue away kit and revert to yellow shirts and blue shorts - or would that be a re-occurrence of too much angst...:emoticon-0127-lipss

I don't know, we had a glorious day last year on the South Coast when we won 8-0 against some northern team. :)
