Ah but then Markus would have taken over Pompey, Rickie would still be playing for Bristol Rovers, Nige would be a manager in League 2 who no one knew, and worst of all Jose would probably have moved back to Portugal.

Quite possibly. In fact, we've to thank Rupert Lowe quite a lot for driving the business into the ground so that it could go into administration at just the right time. He'd even probably accept the credit for it if offered. :)

It's one way of looking at it. <laugh>

Sliding Doors.

Pardew would also be in the Wilderness, Lallana playing for Bournemouth, Spiderman would never have played for France and we would have never got to laugh at Louvren.

Maarten Stekelenburg, Virgil van Dijk and Jordy Clasie all called up to the Holland squad.

That now means all the club's Dutch players - all signed under Koeman - are in the senior squad. :)

(Eljero Elia is also in there!)

Maarten's call-up also means every member of the starting line-up against Bournemouth is a current and full international.

Starting XI: Holland; Portugal, Portugal, Holland, England; Holland, Kenya, Northern Ireland; Senegal, Italy, Serbia.

Used Substitutes: Japan, Spain U23, England U21 captain.

Unused Substitutes: K. Davis, England, Uruguay, Spain.

Hope Spain ditch the awful Costa in favour of two in-from players from Athletic Bilbao, Inaki Willams and their veteran striker, Aduriz, who has been having the best twelve months of his career.

How on earth Aduriz is not in Spain's squad and Costa is, beggars belief? So it is not only in England where reputation and club comes before current form. He has been playing the best football of his career for the past 12 months while Costa's has regressed.
