See on OS video of Cortese talking about Markus. Apparently a taster of a longer video being shown at Memorial Cup about his friendship with ML and his (ML's) plans for the club. Sadly, they also say that ticket sales show that people are going to buy on day..sounds ominous. Wish I wasn't away...hope there's a decent turnout.

Yeah It almost seemed like they were saying no ones brought tickets and you should because he was your saviour. What is true to be fair to them.

hmmm, not sure a bit of emotional blackmailing will have much effect on ticket sales.

Friendlies are friendlies and this strange 45 minute game thing has always sounded odd to me. Added with it being quite expensive, and that's probably why ticket sales are low.

We all have a special affection for Markus. Doesn't diminish it in the slightest if fans don't turn up on Saturday for whatever reason.

Unless.... Markus' family are there and Cortese is concerned a low turn out would upset them as he's promised a big crowd???

To be fair, you get 3 x 45 min games and a funfair plus entertainment for the kids. I expect they've sold quite a few tickets but it may be lower than they expected..remember you have quite an outlay getting 2 other teams in and the funfair. As I said, hope its good weather then people might just turn up.

Rain or shine, if you are free and can afford to go you should.
Enough people on these pages and 606 including myself have had their rants and raves about our recent plight and know is the time to put up.

I know the success of the day does not just hang round the necks of just you or me but enough people read these posts to make a difference.

I just hope the turn out does not embarrass the board as they have done so much for our great club.
