Had to Google it. 1968. Cause of crash unknown. Some conspiracy theorists say the British shot it down but that has been widely dismissed.

Some conspiracy. The irish government themselves seem to be the main ones going that extra mile to say that it wasn't the UK.

    Yep and English ones too.
Flight 712 went down off wexford in the 80s most likely due to a surface to air missile fired at a target drone which got too close to flight 712, so it goes anyway as the Royal navy helped salvage the wreckage and took some wreckage with them, reportedly parts of a target drone.

Dunno if it seems like it but I am not on an Anti England rant here <laugh>

I was just providing some overkill in reply to Milk's overkill :D

So you used google and 3 minutes later you know what happened and all sides of the story?
Sadly this is the average internet denizen <laugh>

The Royal navy took wreckage with them that was never seen again goes one account, part of a target drone, there was a missile launch site in Wales too. But officials said "they were closed sunday" but there is evidence site was in operation that day

But you dont know any of that, you read the first few links you went looking for, bit like your climate change knowledge <laugh>

I laugh when people say "conspiracy theory" as if it is some crazy thing, it's exactly how the police do their work. Theorists look at facts and events and the behaviour and connections of those involved. Al
Based on as much solid evidence for it being true as not being true.

If the Royal navy took wreckage as said, if the Missile base was in oeration that day as said, then most likely.. yes.

Why do you look for "proof" of anything that questions an official story but never even care to find out yourself if the official story is bollocks?

Ask yourself, I don't need an answer

That's all it takes to get a quick cursory overview. Nowhere did I say I know all that happened

Knowing your agenda against western nations and tendency for extreme conspiracy theories I don't hold a lot of credence in your accusations of conspiracy in this case.

What makes me chuckle these days is the original tin foil hat guys who said the government is watching everything we do.

    They were 100% correct <laugh>

Agenda again. Please spell out my agenda please, your lack of understanding of your own homeland and the wider world leaves you to talk about me, and agenda, because the subjects are beyond you.

Every US president post WWII should be hanged alongside Saddam and Putin and Blair, that is the truth, if law is applied equally, get over it biatch.

And no you can't understand anything complex and controversial with a quick overview, that is why you are thick as **** <laugh>

Why shouldn't I be pissed when NATO incinerates yet another hospital and children as they did not a month ago

I could turn that round and ask why you automatically, as in some sort of reflex action, disbelieve any 'official' version of anything as a point of principle, and, more worryingly, replace it with a credo that any counter version, however pityful the evidence, must be right. Makes great X- Files plots though, even if those pesky kids from Scooby-Doo would dubunk them within 20 minutes (including an hilarious chase scene in a corridor, before de-masking the main conspiracy theorist/hoaxer).

Anyway, off on a slight tangent )though still with conspiracy theory overtones), you'll like this, maybe. Saw Jim Lovell (with Brian Cox) at a fantastic lecture in Pontefract yesterday. They had an hour's q&a afterwards ( I didn't get to ask a question, despite having my twatty Apollo13 t-shirst and NASA baseball cap on, but I did want to ask one regarding why they didn't just put the mission back a month when Mattingly was exposed to measels: I'm sure you'd have wanted to ask about fluttering flags and the Van Allen Belts :emoticon-0105-wink:
). Speaking to my sister an hour ago, she said she;d tried to contact me yesterday but I was out. "Oh, I went to see Jim Lovell in Pontefract", I replied. A short silence, then "Was he the drummer in Yes?"...

That was exactly the material I was thinking of. Chomsky is brutally honest, most cited professor alive.

Well for the first bit, lets pretend we live in a fantasy world where politicians military and intelligence services AND media don't tell lies (we know it is 100% not the case though)

When this lot give an official story full of holes, wtf do you expect, and add to that we are talking professional liars here lets not forget.

So you ask why I am suspicious, has Hillsborough taught you nothing? If I had a penny for every time I was ridiculed over the years over Hillsborough, apparently I was mad claiming it was a fit of of the fans that went right to No10.

Now you might dismiss that cos you always believed Hillsborough was not a "Conspiracy theory" but millions did.

Now there are dingbats out there, and others out to discredit credible investigations. It's very hit and miss looking up stuff especially now with the right to be forgotten, the web is being cleansed.

But there are people out there that use the same methods the police do, compare evidence against the claims, check people behaviour and connections and possible motives, this is how the actual researchers go about all of that. Exactly in the same way the police do, part of police work is having theories of a conspiracy to commit crime. Granted the citizen journalists are not trained like police but they are the ONLYT narrative outside of the official one, everything else is tightly controlled either directly or through self censor. Think I am wrong on this? You'll find I am not.

So we find now that the CIA run troll armies out of their Special Operations division. UK GCHQ has JTRIG Online deception program, and have psychologists working for them to assist in writing up the documentation for online manipulation of people. Russian trolls, Chinese trolls, israeli trolls and trolls who just like to shoot down debate by saying "conspriacy theory" because one doesn't agree.

The flight 712 thing was clearly a debatable issue and no firm answers. The idea that the flight was shot down by accident is not some wild crazy idea, there are claims that support it and claims that support the official story. No one can prove anything, to even suggest it is not likely the military might try cover their arses is ludicrous. "It's entirely possible"

I don't do "believe", I prefer to actually learn what actualy goes on saint ;)

You wont learn it from school books or academia in general, the first to fall in line behind the political leadership is academics, even the Nazis, Communists, Fascists in Italy, when politics was racist, academia provided the reason for it and medicine provided physical evidence.

I laugh at being told how things are by people who rarely look beyond the end of their own nose, and that is not an insult, our lives are such now that we have little time to stop and look around and think "hold on, wtf" and "we don't want any hassle".

People cannot see the totalitarian states that are being built around them piece by piece. I am tired of the "if I am doing nothing wrong" line.

This does not affect my life, I just want to know the truth and real history, I do notice over the past 5 years that in general the public have copped on so much.

Hollywood made a movie zerodarkthirty that supposedly killed this guy..
