Last time we played a youngster at RW vs. Swansea he (Gnabry) put in a MOTM worthy performance including nabbing a goal. Hope Campbell or Iwobi can emulate that. I know they aren't in the best of form coming into this match but Swansea always give us a hell of a game so I'm expecting this to be a tense 1 goal affair.
You still have enough quality even with your absentees to cause problems for most opposition sides , this may work in favour for you certainly for tomorrow , the expectations may now have shifted towards us in getting a result and we don't seem to like to respond in being favourites ,I expect a tight game with few opportunities for either side . Regardless of the result I'd just like to see us play with more confidence and a bit of swagger ,something which has been missing for weeks now .
I transferred in Gomis, Ayew and Montero into my FF in September after Swanseas impressive start. They all did nowt. I transferred them all out last week... So sods law means all three will out in world class performances this weekend!
You of little faith, two out of the three are still a threat ,I'll leave you to guess who's the donkey (atm)
lol, we have 6 defensive minded players on the bench including the GK, only actual attacking outfield player is Iwobi.
I'm thinking Gibbs and possibly debuchy as wide options and maybe flamini will be sent on to play further up the pitch if needed.... Though I can't imagine he will play like he did against spurs in every game lol The first 11 really need to put the game to bed early and then we can make defensive changes late on to see out the game. Blitz them in the first half and then shut up shop.
Yeh if bringing on debuchy it might be better to push bellerin forwards lol Really not many options from the bench if we need offensive changes. But if we can get a couple of goals up we have the players to close out the game.
Play Mert up front, and bring Gabriel in if it gets bad, it's worked a bit before. He is our Fellaini option.
This is s--t we are looking totally disjointed and sloppy,we keep getting countered time and time again.
Good chances for Giroud and Campbell but our passing hasn't been penetrating enough. We've been too slow on the counter and our movement hasn't been as good as Swansea who have closed off the spaces. The commentary on setanta is really irritating me too, just going on and on about how none of our defenders are real defenders and how young bellerin is. So boring. Bellerin made a great saving run, to get back and stop Gomis when he was one on one with Cech. Was worried when Giroud was down looking hurt. I hope he isn't injured after this! We need to move the ball quicker and find spaces in behind the Swansea midfield. We don't have many options so the team on show need to step up and work a result.
We starting to find a lot of space, which I thought we would in the second half, Swansea gave so much effort in the first half, knew they'd eventually start tiring in the second, they don't have that same organisation and work rate as they did in first half, we should take advantage of this and get the second goal to kill the game off.
Lol, what a funny goal, for once the ref doesn't blow the whistle, and rightfully so, there was no foul there. . Thanks flappy.
