Also sad to read that Kauto Stone lost his life yesterday after his fall. Ben Pauling announced on Twitter today. Another sad loss, unfortunately a regular issue with racing. Feel for all connected to him.
Really enjoyed having the national hunt horses back. Saw some great prospects over the last few weeks.
Tombstone's near top of that pile of prospects for me. That was a really taking bumper win for a cast iron three miler I thought. No wonder Gordon's been mentioning him as one to follow in a few tours. Shantou Village also made a very pleasing start a few week's back and imperious showings from Sizing John and No More Heroes during the week too.
That was impressive so it was, he was very low at times and was clever at one or two as well to get himself out of trouble, when he did get the fence right he was quick over 'em and overall a pleasing debut.
He had another i really was impressed by the other day - can't remember the name off hand but it was an excellent start over hurdles. Ran the same day as Sizing John and NMH
Has anyone flagged Sir Mark's runner at Dundalk. Has he ever sent anything there? Strange to say the least.
Yes, he has sent some over previously and with success. He had Marsha over here the past 3 weeks, she took out a 5f contest at Dundalk before running well in a very hot listed event a week later there.
Kalidabad 2/1 Dundalk 6:20, was 3/4 length off Blue De Vega (listed winner since) at Dundalk lto, is progressing nicely and should be up to winning this maiden for in form Halford/Foley combo. In the last there, Honor Oak 5/2 has a 12lb penalty to carry but the field has cut up badly and having won easily by 4.5 lengths there lto, I'm hopeful she can back that up.
