Despite the best efforts of the ref, the best team won, we were the better team from start to finish and in every area.

You'd better hope you don't lose too many first teamers, your second string aren't up to much, particularly that useless bald lump of a centre back. I felt a bit sorry for that young lad making his debut at left back, we'd obviously set up for Diame to torment him, I thought he did okay under the circumstances.

Your lads were in good voice though, good support for midweek cup game. <ok>

You beat our second string in the League Cup, congratulations.

Can you pre-order the DVD? Or has it been released already?

You were the better team on the night, I'll give you that, well done.
But you're not trying to judge our whole second team on one performance... Are you?

I say, that Arsenal lost 3-0 to a Championship team last night, they better be looking over their shoulders... A relegation battle looms <laugh>

I've got nothing else to judge them on...

But rather than saying "they were poor last night", which it seems they were, you have made the assumption that this is how they always play, which is rather foolish.

On a completely unrelated point, did anyone else watch the Sheffield Wednesday game last night?
Must admit, that is the first I've seen them this season, but they really look as though they can get promoted and make a push for the top 4 and Champions League next season.

other than us sitting 5th in the Premier League !! Oh wait no that would be our first team
<doh>
Again well done on drawing our reserve fixture last night 1-1 and then winning a penalty kick competition.
When is your open top bus parade planned for? :emoticon-0102-bigsm
MK dons for your lot at the weekend. Back to reality. Enjoy

<laugh> That was easy.

I'm sure they're capable of far more than they showed last night, though they had an opportunity to stake a claim for a first team place and absolutely none of them grasped that opportunity.

They took it last round at home to West Ham.

They just had a poor night, that is all. It happens.

Imagine being THIS excited about winning a League Cup tie <laugh>

Getting to the quarter finals of the League Cup for the first time in our history is just a little more special than winning any old League Cup tie and we are indeed rather chuffed about it. The fact that we didn't have to beat a big club to get doesn't lessen the achievement any. :emoticon-0110-tongu

Apologies, I didn't realise you had achieved so little throughout your history.

Honestly though, does it not get boring supporting Hull?
I can't really imagine supporting a club where the absolute limit to what they can hope for/achieve is one or two seasons of relegation battles in the Premier League, and no hope of ever establishing themselves.

I know you're just on the wind up, but in truth, your prospects in the grand scheme of things and ours are very similar.

We have spent 4 seasons in the Premier League in the last decade and the rest in the Championship. You've spent one in the Premier League (currently on your second), one in League One and the rest in the Championship.

The best either of us could hope for in the foreseeable future is establishing ourselves in the Premier League a la Crystal Palace/Swansea.

So if you find that prospect boring, you need to find a new club fella.

We were fifth after a quarter of the season in the Premier League not so long ago, few of our lads let it go to their head too. You'll look silly when you drop like a stone. If you think you're never coming back down you're mistaken I'm afraid.

Enjoy it whilst it lasts, always good to see a minnow up there fighting.

Hark at billy big bollocks , you have started the season well but could slide dramatically , not saying you will but wind your neck in , your not established yet far from it one season of struggle and a good start and you think your it , keep harping on about your reserve team last night but not one has mentioned the fact we made countless changes to.

You're wumming's terrible old chap, do you not have a more intelligent friend you could get to write some posts for you?
The fact you took the bait and spent time to respond says it all really. . <laugh> Jog on back to the Championship board chap and revel in your "Capital Cup" quarter final achievement. Astounding. :1980_boogie_down:
