Sizing John jumped lovely. Very solid performance indeed and he can have a bright chasing future.

Lovely performance. Think most of us knew how good the Douvan and Sizing John form was last year. We'll soon see. If Douvan can translate his hurdle form to the larger obstacles call the Arkle off. That's my advise.

Yep, certainly did Douvan fans no harm today although it was an egg and spoon chase. Good thing is he looked a solid jumper- not too dissimilar from Sizing Europe in that he was uncomplicated and got the job done.

HdB says he is not adverse to stepping him up in trip but I like to have Arkle runners who will relish the hill at Cheltenham. Will be interesting to see how Douvan gets on with fences.

SiZing John is JLT horse. Douvan wins the Arkle on the snaff, don't over complicate it, looking to get him beat etc etc, you won't lol

Haha, he was so impressive last season. The Supreme really did make me stand up and take notice. Thought he might lack the pace on quicker ground but he won easy and will get further if required. Him, Faugheen, and Vautour are some tools. Tonnes of pace but all with stamina in the pedigree.

The english will need to start plotting their handicappers just now to have any chance of winning a race at Cheltenham.

Chance but it will be a harder race to win this year I think. Moon Racer is the only english fav, Irish are dominating every market basically and seem to have a load of good young horses while the big yards in England dont have anything.

Well Irelands two best players are Scottish, I dont agree with that, you should play for the country you were born in. And the Scots supporting Ireland are just idiot tims who didnt grow out of the IRA, oppressed bullshit. Id rather Ireland won than England obviously but Scotland first.

Ive always preferred the Irish horses for whatever reason, just not a fan of Mullins total domination, majority of my favourite jump horses have been Irish, always loved betting on the Irish flat as well.

When its jump season I can actually look at the form and watch the bad Irish racing, something which is physically impossible for me at dumps like Plumpton, Towcester etc I can go without that stuff.

My favourite horses are probably Fly, Kauto and Denman. It's a bit sad to prejudice yourself because of where there trained but some definitely do it, chips on shoulders aren't something I'm after though <laugh>

Chips on shoulders attract seagulls. :)

    But Scots first though.
