Should a won that race too DK, real dog's dinner of a ride. Good prospect this year The Tullow Tank, fancy him to do well.
hell do ok in lesser races in Ireland, cant see him winning anything important against the Mullins A team whats the best Mullins antepost bets just now?
I know you rate that Limini, one she beat in France went on to win two Group 2s and was only beat 7L in the Arc, and Mullins has her over hurdles any wonder he cleans up with ammunition like that? dont think she beat much first time despite the winners that have come out of the race and her jumping didnt look too hot, think she does most of her work on the bridle but she clearly has an engine, would need to improve the jumping to have any chance against Annie Power in that mares race I think
There all silly prices this year, the shrewdies made hay last year when the bookies didn't know what they were doing giving away free money on the hack up jobs like UDS at 10s, Faugheen 6s etc Yorkhill at 16/1 for Neptune is one of the few fair ones, Limini 8/1 some price too. She's a novice so won't be against Annie... To fast track this what are you opposing these particular dodgepots with?! Anything I put up you always oppose, isn't that the script
To actually answer this question, he is back in training: " A 148-rated hurdler, he made a promising start to his chasing career last season, winning a maiden at Punchestown by a wide margin prior to finishing fourth to Don Poli in a Grade 1 novice chase at Leopardstown’s Christmas meeting. “He picked up an injury when he was fourth to Don Poli at Christmas. He’s back cantering now and looks great. He’ll be trained for all those good staying chases like the Hennessy. I don’t think soft ground is essential, but it does help him as it puts the emphasis on stamina which suits him. He could make up into an Irish Grand National horse in time.” http://microsite.attheraces.com/jumps/profiles.aspx?hlid=557925&lid=stable tours
For those of you following Tycoon Prince: “He’s a very exciting horse. To be honest, I think he could be anything. He seems to have plenty of pace for a horse that’s 17 hands high, so we’ll probably start him off at two miles and will step him up in trip if he shows us that he needs to. He was going to run this weekend, but the ground is just a bit firmer than ideal. He should be out in the next week or so and we are excited to see him out.”
Value At Risk(for stick) just seen this, you might of missed it. That first fencing debut was due to come at Bangor on Tuesday, but connections postponed that initial run over the larger obstacles because of the drying ground. In an exclusive interview owner Marc Huglin explained the reasoning behind the decision:- "We wouldn't have wanted to have given him a hard race on ground that would have been too quick. There would have been a huge downside to that and not much upside, said his hugely enthusiastic owner. "He will now be aimed at the three miler at Newbury on the Thursday of the Hennessy meeting rather than take on quicker horses over two and a half miles there. "Of course it's a track we know he has no problems with having won his novice hurdle there and hopefully a small field with better ground will be ok for him. Trainer Dan Skelton has a cracking team of staying novice chasers apart from Value At Risk, including the exciting Three Muskateers, and Marc told me how happy both trainer and owner had been with his build up to Bangor. "He has been mustard in his schooling, making the right shape at his fences. He has the ability to put himself right well before an obstacle and we couldn't have been happier with him. We couldn't be more pleased and we know he goes well fresh." Despite the excitement surrounding the horse for his first season over fences, Huglin feels that defeat at Newbury wouldn't be a huge setback before a possible crack at the Feltham Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day. "It is all a learning process for the horse and it defeat wouldn't be the end of the world. In such circumstances he would then go to Kempton with plenty of improvement and it really is a case of one step at a time." "I know it's a cliche but he really has strengthened up during the summer with a proper rear end now and although he is a miserable thing still, he is very exciting." So Newbury it is for Value At Risk and Easyodds will follow this talented performer every step of the way as he gears up for the Cheltenham Festival in March. - See more at: https://www.easyodds.com/betting-tips/value-risk-owner-exclusive-interview#sthash.7VA4NwkA.dpuf
But it's not just about what ammunition they get is it. Otherwise how come we didn't see John Ferguson with his lorryloads of ex flat horses, Arc 5ths etc win 8 races at this years's Cheltenham Festival?! No one gets anywhere near his 'ammunition' yet funnily enough I've won as many Cheltenham Festival races as Ferguson has As I've often said it's not about getting the top rated French or Flat horse, or spending the most money, it's spending the money smartest and being able to get the very best out of what you get. As results show Mullins is on another planet to any of the other jumps trainers at doing so.
MUJAZIF 20/1 Catt 2.15 The Don pointed this one out to me yesterday evening and it does look plotted up. 20/1 with 365 and in a 4/1 + race for good measure!
Ferguson doesn't get the best, the best remain uncut and go to stud. None of his are actually bred to jump a fence either! Ferguson himself wasn't bred for it either really, unlike virtually every single Irish trainer.
No stick but he's gets as good a Flat horse as Limini is my point yet he can't manage to convert any of these multitudes of 105 - 120 rated Flat horses into a Cheltenham Festival winner whilst others with lesser animals can!
How many years did it take Mullins to win his first Cheltenham Festival race? Success does not come overnight to many trainers, and lets not forget that Ferguson has been training for a few years, and he has improved his strike rate and the quality of horses he trains.
http://microsite.attheraces.com/jumps/article.aspx?hlid=557744 https://fantasyracing.telegraph.co.uk/ Two very nice future NH 'Fantasy Team' competitions for the season. Provides a great bit of fun for those of you wanting to follow the action but not necessarily wanting to bet on it very often
Rich was talking something else up for that. I like Limini and 8's is fair because target is certain.
Sean Boyce puts up two for the Champion Hurdle - My Tent or Yours and The New One. Jesus wept. This man gets paid to talk about racing.
