Blimey, how many penalty's do Palace get?! another one this weekend! Sterling looked Amazing in their match. Poor Bournemouth. I see their keeper got injured in the warm up! What going on with them? They are the new Arsenal of Injuries!
Leeds have sacked yet another manager. 12 games in. What a state and disgrace that Football Club is! Such a shame for the fans.
And now the Owner has been banned from running the club for the second time in a year.....God know why he was allowed to run it the second time!
In other news, Derby County unbeaten in the six games since Bradders joined and have made it into the play-offs...
Paul Clement likes him too! http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/10/2...unty-midfielder-bradley-johnson-can-do-ever/?
I honestly still cannot believe anyone actually thinks that was a good deal for us, oh how we could do with someone who would "run through brick walls" for us at the moment.
Brilliant reactions but Walcott should be burying that. I heard some compare it to THAT Seaman save, seems a little OTT to me. Funny how no one seems to be talking about his complete flap for Giroud's goal.
Just a quick question but does anyone care how well our elite clubs do in Europe. I used to, but not anymore for some reason
To be honest, I like to see Dortmund and Roma do well, but as for the English clubs I'm not overly fussed.
I tend to support the English clubs but for the most part I just root for the under dog. I guess it's one and the same now though!
Yes, apathetic is the response really and I agree. Perhaps it is because there are so few English or British players involved. I rea somewhere that there are more Israel and Belarus players involved in te Champions League now than English! If true that is a real shocker.
I don't know why but European football just seems to have run out of steam. I think that the vast number of meaningless fixtures before the knock out stages greatly reduces the level of excitement - I think to win the Europa League you actually have to play pretty much every Thursday for around six months. It doesn't help that a lot of the top clubs, particularly in England see the Europa League as a chore rather than the opportunity to win a European Trophy and so they seldom seem to care if they are in or out which clearly devalues the game for us fans. It can't be good for the game to have EPL clubs travelling to Armenia midweek to play on a muddy field in front of four men and a dog. Even the so called Champions League is one group stage too far as there are too many teams in it who have pretty much zero chance of progression and whose job appears to be as whipping boys to earn the big clubs a few more tv euro's. I reckon if a third tier competition was brought in and the clubs were seeded to see how many from each federation were in each competition then you'd get fewer games per club but also more games which were actually competitive. Flip side is that the tv package for the bottom tier would be akin to the Conference payments but the poor fare we are currently being served in the early stages of both competitions cannot be good for the game. Like others on here I also find it hard to muster a great deal of enthusiasm/support for any of the English representatives.
So, having thrashed Norwich 6-2, Newcastle are now getting mullered by their north-east rivals, Sunderland. Surely shows how abject and sloppy we were last weekend
