All good on the quest to be worst this season I still think we will be fine. We have a knack of picking up points against the big boys...the Swanseas, the Sunderlands...
Poor Bournemouth. I really wanted us an them to stay up....With all the injuries...They fall into one of the teams I'm hoping get relegated instead of us. My only hope right now is Bournemouth, Sunderland don't pick up from today and improve, and Villa can't get Rogers or Moyes. Then...Maybe.. Those 3 might be bottom 3. I really don't think it will be though.
Serious question that I'd be interested to hear people's views on: IF we had sacked Neil, say, a month ago (I'm in no way saying we should have then, or indeed that we should now) do you think we'd have been able to attract Allardyce to Norwich? Would we have to pay well above what we'd be comfortable paying, or would it just be a non-starter?
I knew he would be Sunderland manager before this season started. It was such a perfect fit! They need a solid manager who can build a club, plus he's an ex-player. I think he might have waited for the inevitable. Plus how Newcastle Treated him...He has dreamed about today for years! I think there was a slim chance, but no more than 20%
That header from Benteke just now was both brutal and exquisite in equal measure. If Mbokani scored a couple like that, we'd have a bronze statue outside the River End
Klopp has not had the magical start myself, (and probably he) expected. Liverpool will prob be mid table.
Yeh, I'm inclined to agree. I just find it interesting at times wondering how we're seen by neutral but educated football people. Would someone like Allardyce see us as an opportunity, etc..?
Sorry, I wasn't having a pop, it's just that NCFC have bigger fish to fry at the mo without delving into the realms of fantasy. Though if the season finished tomorrow I'd happily cartwheel naked around Cromer pier
