    No comparing the 2 is there.

    The thing about his issue with the poppy is that he ignores the fact that 35,000 Irishmen were killed in WW1 and 7,000 in WW2.

    He could at least wear the poppy in respect for them.

    He could, yes, but why should he be forced to if the poppy represents the freedom of expression that was fought for? I don't generally wear one either. It doesn't automatically mean you disrespect anyone.

    Unless I'm missing something, what's he ever done?

    Average player who doesn't like wearing a poppy. I just don't get the vitriol. Thought he was quite restrained yesterday and certainly didn't cross any sort of line from the MOTD footage.
