    Cheek.

I've driven nowt but Volvos since 1995.

Except when Saab were going under and they decided a solid marketing practice would be to practically give away brand new cars. They weren't of course. They were 10 year old General Motors stock which had been assembled in recent months and that, ultimately was Saab's problem. No development in a decade in a market that rarely stands still was suicidal policy. Entirely driven by American executive apathy however. Impacted greatly on the Swedish economy about 5 years ago.

    I like this thread.

    It's just ****ing going everywhere.

So my lights may be on or off and I won't know until I enter the house.

When I'll discover they are on if I left them on.

And off if I left them off.

Or all lights on if I left them off, but the kids are at home.

Or all off if I left them on, if the Missus is throwing a moody.

Who is she? And why would you want to do anything else at the same time?

I drove the first Saab Turbo in Hull or East Riding. Nearlygave the the person who let me have a go kittens due to the control stalks being on the opposite side to my car and pulling out with the windscreen wipers going instead of the indicators. Most comfortable seats of any car in my opinion.

I've just ordered a new watch, been toying with it for ages, according to FedEx tracker it's currently somewhere between Indianapolis and Stansted.

Quite excited really, haven't treated myself to anything for a while, though I don't think it does anything but tell the time.

Hey Lammy, if I've learnt anything else in the last fortnight it's ****ing go for it.

I've cremated my father and then cremated my step-father then been shafted by a bunch of twats who appointed the wrong person above me in a promotion.

**** 'em all, **** 'em all, **** 'em all.
**** the long and the short and the tall.

Enjoy the watch. Take all the pleasure you can get from it.

Me? I'm gonna buy a motorhome.

Ernie, the Missus, the hound and the open road.

    ****ing go for it!

You only need a 'b' in there Filey and you'll have the perfect name.

Seriously though, anyone that rescues a dog, from Romania or anywhere else, is ok by me <ok>

Mine was a 9-5. It was a great car and like everyone is saying, great seats.

Winter pack as standard. Reasonably powerful. High spec interior. A really comfortable drive.

The lack of investment from GM was criminal however. When I bought mine in 2009 it was essentially a late 90s car even though it was brand new. I enjoyed it but the difference in the technological spec I got when I bought a Volvo V50 three years later was massive. Saab illustrates what happens in the car market when you stand still and don't invest in new technology. They never stood a chance.

    Sage advice.

My best mate recently bought a massive motorhome and a big BMW touring bike and disappears round Europe all the time, he loves it. He bought a E-Type at the same time, he thinks he's having a midlife crisis, but I think he's just enjoying the fruits of his labour.

    Good luck to him.

Kenny Young, bloke who wrote 'Under the Boardwalk', used to drive a Saab. It conked out once on his way to my house. I went to pick him up and he borrowed a fiver to tip the breakdown driver. I never got it back. Don't like Saabs, or 'Under the Boardwalk'.
