Come on chaps let's get into the mood.I'm going for a 3-1 win for us.16/1. In an earlier thread I called for our midfielders to chip in with some goals so,I'll be having a dabble on one of ours to be first scorer.Who?Tell you when the team is announced.
Robert Madley is the referee Another "ghost" penalty for Stoke? http://www.premierleague.com/content/premierleague/en-gb/referees.html
Two wins out of eight and two points from seventeenth place , it's time for changes and new ideas. 4-1 -4-1 for me. fab Rangel ,Fernandez,Williams , tabanou Britton Ayew , ki , Shelvey,Montero Gomis Rangel and Britton for their passing expierence. Taylor does an "ok" job but does nothing to enhance Montero , it's time we see who we got in tabanou.Ki plays from the centre of the pitch for me , an intelligent player who will flow where he's needed. Shelvey plays Sigs role , our most dynamic shooter belongs up front somewhat ,doing what he does best , shooting and assissting on goal opportunities. Gomis is a superman when it comes to physical play ,but an adolescent when it comes to focus and making mental decisions. We need to focus on his focus
Do me a favour vetch , every time you want to bring Laudrup into the fray , lie down till the feeling passes willya , cheers buddy
Do me an even BIGGER favour. The next time you think of responding to a post of mine - go and play with yourself - "Cheers Buddy". Dope. I may, from time to time, even mention Martinez,Rodgers,or even Laudrup's wife.
I'll respond to any posts I choose. You,of course, are free to do otherwise. Re Laudrup, clearly you are in the same camp as a few others who are unable to even see his name in print without losing their marbles. Sad ****ing bunch you are.
Not sure about this game, we need some steel on Saturday, but we never return from International breaks well, so maybe a draw is on the cards though I'll go with a 2-1 win, but Gomis needs to sharpen up his focus, has been wasteful of late. Hope Monk gets the game plan right on Monday.... PS: Hi Vetch what's the latest on the Camel Jockey?
First of all i hate our games played on a Monday.....Its not normal... This is a game we must win as serious questions must be asked if we don't. A 2-0 win will do nicely and will go some way getting us back on track and give the fans a bit of confidence back that have been lost in resent games.....
I want to see us being more aggressive and positive. I want to see Ayew playing behind the front man and being allowed to roam across the pitch. Barrow, who appears to be a good crosser of the ball, from the little I have seen of him, along with Montero suppplying from the left may result in Gomis and Ayew being more prolific. Cork or Britton and Ki with a tight call between Jonjo or Siggy. I would plump for the player who made the Europa team of the week i.e. Siggy. The back five of course pick themselves with perhaps Naughton just edging out Rangel.
I thought Rangel had a good game v Spurs ,much more of an attacking threat than Naughton has been recently but he lost the ball a few times in the second half due to tiredness ? . a risk but start him with a mind to use Naughton if needs must , it's unusual to change the back four during a game unless injuries occur but Rangel still has a lot to offer both defensively and in an attacking fullback to is more than willing to make runs in behind .
PS: Hi Vetch what's the latest on the Camel Jockey?[/QUOTE] The last I heard he was still counting the money that Jenkins gave him as a going away present.
[QUOTE="DragonPhilljack, "Hope Monk gets the game plan right on Monday...." Well, your neighbour thinks that Monk is now flirting with relegation. Rumour has it that Jenkins is already working on Monk's severance payment, and is stuck on 17/6. That's real money,of course, not the mickey mouse stuff we currently use. I think he's being a tad mean, and should go to at least thirty bob. Old Cupless deserves at least that much.
