^^^^This is the type of post I hate. It's as if we've no right to expect to beat anybody. Bollocks!!! We're an established Prem outfit that should be beating a very ordinary Stoke side at home. True, nothing can be taken fro granted but if the players have that sort of expectation and desire then we'll quickly be relegated.

It`s like Monk (or somebody else) is trying to re-invent the wheel. "A round wheel, that`ll never work". Why don`t we try and make it rectangular, or even better, let`s make it square. Yeah that`ll work a treat. Those round wheels are a right pain in the arris.

Next week we are going to try and put a square peg into a stupid round hole, we`ll have videos and everything on how to succeed in doing this.

Last season we had 3-4 styles of play/formations that worked very well in getting results. The last 3-4 games we've looked a side with no game plan.

Where's the diamond with Routs on the left gone?

<doh> Talk about overreaction........We are averaging just over one point a game ffs.......Some teams can only dream of doing that.......We are going through a bad patch that many teams go through or do you think we are immune to not going through bad patches. 10 points in 9 games is not bad even though we have had problems and having problems at this early stage in the season is far better than going through a bad patch at the end of the season......Stop overreacting and get behind the team as our blip in form wont last and monk will be the best thing since sliced bread again....<ok>

10 points in 9 games, yes. I don't think anyone would worry about it - if 8 of them hadn't come in the first 4 games. In the last 5 games we've picked up 2 points. We've drawn with two good sides (Everton and Spurs) and lost to 3 more beatable sides (Stoke, Watford and Saints). 2 points in 5 games is 0.4 points per game.

While I do accept that there is more than enough time to turn things around, and I'm not personally worried about our safety (yet), if we continue the way we are for another 4/5 games, we are going to be in the relegation zone approaching December - simple as. Monk needs to come up with some answers. It'll be interesting to see what he does - success or not.

Indeed, it is still early doors, but it's up to Monk to turn it around. In 6 games' time, we're at 15 games and it's no longer early doors. Monk even says himself that after 15ish games is when you see how the league is going to go this year. I'm watching closely with intrigue to see what tactics/changes Monk brings out of his locker to stop the rot. Fingers crossed he gets it done, not just for his sake, but for us - the fans.
