If you want bad, come to the Island. They've repaired stretches, but there are still nasty potholes on main roads. What it does to the suspension I dread to think. And they are mad about sleeping policemen just in case you don't get bumped enough.

The year before last I was coming down the straight Military Road, IOW, at quite a lick, enjoying the scenery, when I looked back at the road proper and saw it had a bloody big kink in it. Had to scrub off enormous amounts of speed in the cold and wobble round on the wrong side of the road. Thankfully, being Jan 1st, there were few cars around. Certainly gave the road a bit more attention after that though.

Unlike a motorbiker to be on the wrong side of the road exceeding the speed limit.

I've driven to the IOW twice in the last two years and yes, I agree, especially about the potholes.

Motorbiker died recently on the Military Road....looks tempting, beautiful ribbon sweeping round the bottom of the Island, but also used by buses and has a cliff drop....side ways skid and you're a goner.

Hard life, eh? Must be the most popular aunt in the family .............. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I guess, (and would hope) that most Americans have liability cover and she's really just suing the insurance company. Probably goes on all the time in that crazy country. I'm holidaying there next year, I'll let you know if anyone hits me with a lawsuit.

Attention console folk: PS4 or Xbox One?

Managed to turn a tenner in to £400 or so through the international break, so going to treat myself to a new console. Advice needed. :)

Have a PS4, had it for nearly 2 years. No problems with it so far with a really good range of games (uncharted, last of us, witcher are ones i would really recommend, though the first two are ps4 exclusive). Haven't played X1 so can't compare but the graphics are such a step up from PS3.

have some of this :)

A lot of bank erosion going on there. Some well meaning river user will have to put a stop to that.

A strategically placed log puts a stop to any more showing off from a young FLT.
