Lots of nice lovely roundabouts for those who are driving to MK. Nice pubs not far from the ground as well. Job done.
i shall be there along with me stepson and three of his mates.any parking advice will be greatfully accepted
From Footballground guide:- James a visiting Portsmouth fan adds; 'If you are a visiting supporter then follow the signs for "football coaches" as this will take you to the back of the stadium which is nearer the away fans turnstiles. Following signs for "stadium mk" will take you round to the front of the ground where most of the parking is for permit holders only. With regards to parking, if you dont want to pay, and arrive early enough, then you can park on the industrial estate which is on the opposite side of the road, to this rear stadium entrance'. Alternative Parking There are 2,000 car parking spaces at the stadium, which cost £7 per vehicle. Otherwise you can street park in the Denbigh West industrial estate. After passing the stadium entrance on your left, turn right at the next roundabout, called Granby roundabout, and then take the next turn left, and immediately left again onto the industrial estate called Denbigh West. Don't be tempted to park at the adjacent Asda Store as it is patrolled on matchdays and you may end up with a parking ticket for your trouble".
Actually, you can score points too if you're clever. Tell her she can nip round Ikea which is right next to the ground. I guarantee you'll be outa the ground before she's finished in what to me is hell on earth, but the missus and daughters love the ****ing place.
i could just use the same trick i used too on my mum when i was still at school and wanted to go on the coach on a school night, and tell her its only an hour away, be back before you know it....
Fantastic My mates used the excuse to twag an afternoon of school & go to a City away night match in London by saying they were off to Millwall University (that well known establishment). Funny thing is she bought it.
once got too cambridge because its only a couple of inches away from lincoln on a map, and thats only just over the bridge...good job she never drove around the country much...it backfired tho, i went with simon gray and we still had to run 2 miles and get in 15 mins after kick off, despite getting to cambridge itself at 6,30pm!
I use to just go off to school on a friday.. Get changed at my mates house and set off thumbing it One time i didnt get home till tuesday. Think i was 13 then.
she loved the atmosphere, but missed the penalty incident, the goal and the sending off due to looking the other way.. it will be her first and last for a while
