Me too. The locals in Cardiff thought they had the right to be rude about the English, when good manners usually prevented me from retaliating. However, one girl told me dramatically that she felt the waves of hate as soon as she crossed the Severn Bridge....I said,'' The English don't hate the Welsh....they never give the Welsh a single thought''. About the only time I thought of a response at the time instead of 24 hours later.
Echo reporting Long's ankle injury. Hope not too serious. More worrying for us would be an injury to Fonte.

Or an earthquake could hit St Marys....that would be worse. Or a meteorite could hit Southampton. So many worries
My dislike levels set to increase if cowardly roy puts Ryan in tonight. Only back a couple weeks, & that plastic pitch could be very detrimental. Surely its Gibbs's turn on the easy cap roundabout now?
The Mirror is saying Bertie started Friday because of tonight's plastic pitch, with Gibbs to start tonight. Roy doing us a favour? Or are we one of the BIG clubs that have pressured him into not using their key players?
No chance in hell that will happen, it will be the norm. Get through the group relatively unscathed. Go out to first team of substance we meet, probably on pens.
I don't mind Roy to be honest, yeah he's not great but if we were going English last appointment I fail to see who else there was, unless you wanted 'Arry of course He's never going to take us to the 'next level' but I think he was the right choice for overseeing this transitional period from the 'underachievers generation' to the new group, and he's done quite well in that regard while also trying to modernise our style of play. Could be worse. Also worth noting that out of 6 groups (we're guaranteed a top seed) that 3 teams will progress from four of them. There is simply no way we will not qualify from the groups. I worry about getting knocked out by Wales though...
