That's all I know but I wish I was in the room with Sam and short I'd say Ffs Ellis's give him some money or its championship football next year

You don`t need to be in the room mate, just wait for Short coming out.

The ****er will be white as a ghost, especially if he`s been asked for money. <laugh>

I don't rate him. I don't like him. I...

Ah **** it. He left West Ham in a very good position from which they could build. Hopefully he stabilises us.

Don,t particularly want him, especially if the to::er Nolan comes as part of the deal, but as normal once they,re red and white will back them, only trouble is that looks like there,s not a queue forming for the job.

What worries me is that by the time anybody gets the chance to splash some money (which is doubtful) we would be in such a bad league position that we would not be able to attract anybody of the calibre that would be required, that we would be virtually down anyway. I think any manager that comes in is gonna have to assume that he is gonna have to try and keep us up with the players that we have already got.

Agree with this

Sam will be a cracking manager, get us solid again. Might not be pretty but neither is Tony Pulis teams and everyone would have him in charge.

We aren't a fashionable club so let's just not pretend and play the way we will get results.

Just heard on Sky sports news, they are only offering Sam a short term contract if he comes.

I think we have enough quality in this squad already to keep us up quite comfortably it's just getting them to gel as a team which we did for 40 minutes last weekend, if SA is appointed then he has to get them doing it for the whole match, surely for the wages these managers are paid that's not too much to ask is it.

A couple of papers suggesting that we want him to commit to a longer deal but he wants the rest of the season only with clauses in his contract about a lumpa etc if he keeps us up and money to buy in january. This is part of the problem though. The players probs looked at Advocaat and thought he wont be here next season anyway. The manager more than any other imo needs to show a longer term commitment. How could he buy players if he wouldn't be here next season?..

Totally agree about long term need to start and build a team that can compete and if that means we go down we need a manager that will help us back up

No, no, no! We MUST stay up this season!!!

If Sam just signs a short term contract and keeps us up, he'll probably stay. Probably.

If he doesn't then we'll have the summer to get a new manager, (which won't be great, admittedly), but we'll be getting our share of a bloody big pay-out next season. And if we do go down the following season, we'll be going down with the biggest fattest parachute payment in history, £100m!!

Wonder where they're getting their information.
