We need a manager for more than 8 months. If he is playing hardball offer him a chunk of the extra EPL payment for survival and at least 20 month contract

A couple of papers suggesting that we want him to commit to a longer deal but he wants the rest of the season only with clauses in his contract about a lumpa etc if he keeps us up and money to buy in january. This is part of the problem though. The players probs looked at Advocaat and thought he wont be here next season anyway. The manager more than any other imo needs to show a longer term commitment. How could he buy players if he wouldn't be here next season?..[/QUOTE]

Completely agree with this
Our players simply see the managers as passing through - no need to form a bond or impress
