So you realised you couldn't argue your point with me so you decided you couldn't be bothered and just put me on ignore instead?? Hate to say it but that appears to me to be just a tiny bit pathetic, especially as you apparently seemed so confident that you were right All I wanted was a decent debate based on facts rather than some bullshit Tory rhetoric based on lies and deception, I know that's often not easy for those of the blue persuasion, but at least have a go.
No, I actually got bored of the whole thing. It's a football forum and I just had enough of it. I didn't realise my opinion mattered so much to you. You obviously have an issue with me, the way I think and see the world, that's fine. It's my perogative to not listen to what people say as it yours to keep asserting it. I simply don't care that much about what you think and I got bored of the whole thing. Sorry if it hurt your feelings.
I don't know the ins and outs of the argument and i've nothing against Munky whatsoever but, "sorry I had you on ignore" is one of the best put downs i've heard on this site in ages!
Seems more like "I've got nothing to come back with against those very sensible points so I'm going to put my fingers in my ears and take my ball home instead" to me, but each unto their own I guess He certainly didn't "hurt my feelings" anyway, I'm not 13 years old any more!
At least I managed not to be; homophobic, heightist or racist! I fart in your general direction and call you and your revolution a silly thing! Bah!
Your Revolution. My Revolution Our Revolution. The Revolution. Come General, resistance is futile. Cast off the shackles that the establishment have enveloped you in. Join us in The True Cause.
The bar snack and brewery industries will both be nationalised. Thus, both bombay mix and real ales will be affordable, plentiful, and of the highest quality.
I still might respond to the thing you wrote though. If I want to The best reason yet I have heard for changing my vote to Labour.
But if run by government, won't my Bombay mix be bland because of too many middle managers and not enough tasters and innovators whilst my ale will only be plentiful when the workers are not striking because someone else has more? Bah!
Fear not. Premier Corbyn will be personally tasting batches of the bombay mix to ensure it's quality is of the utmost vibrancy. As for the potential for strikes compromising the ale, I have considered your concerns at length. My conclusion is that I simply cannot envisage anything of the sort. For strikes to occur, there would have to be some sort of injustice. Under Premier Corbyn's leadership, injustice is an impossibility. EDIT: Ich persönlich bevorzuge Weißbier. For The True Cause, I am willing to sacrifice it in favour of nationalised real ale though.
Just to inject a degree of seriousness into these levitatious banterings, I would contend that in the past nationalised industries have been managed by people ideologically opposed to the principle of public ownership, and therefore at best not fully committed to their success. I can see no reason why, for example, a nationalised car manufacturing industry would not be reasonably successful. I sold British Leyland cars (Secondhand) in the 70's and cars like the Allegro and Marina were ok. At least they started every morning in the winter while Ford owners ran their batteries flat and then got the bus.
My dad had an Austin princess. It was shaped like a wedge of cheese and was the colour of ****. It had bench seats and never started when you needed it to. On the up side when we had an accident in it it simply scooped the other car off the road onto the bonnet. The windshield glass shattered mind, and got a few cuts one of which I still bare the scars of today. But it didn't kill us.
