Lovren's injured isn't he? Wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry if he was included in his first starting 11 <laugh>

  2. Lovren might be better under a manager that is able to get a team to defend

Think we have to forget any preconceived ideas about how **** or mediocre or even how good some of our squad are and revert back to neutral now. Let's see what Klopp (if it's him #nojinx) does, how he sets the side up and who performs and who doesn't, then reassess and start the labelling process all over. There may be some surprises (i.e. a player might just respond really well to a brand new coaching team) or there may not.

I bet Jimmy will be way more lenient with Klopp too.

I am wondering how Jimmy will react if Klopp doesn't play Sakho or Can :emoticon-0100-smile

To be honest I don't think Can is that good. He's not a player I'd build our team around. He might be in future but at the moment I don't think he would even be in my preferred XI.

Just like Rafa made some previously crap players turn into decent players...

I'll be interested to see his impact on players like Can, Firm, Ibe, Sakho. Players young enough to still be moulded. Players who have perhaps not been their best recently but have shown potential.

Cout is arguably our best player but looks hit or miss... Anonymous 75mins most games but then suddenly does something phenomenal. If Klopp can get him being that good for an entire game he could have an amazing influence.

Hard to tell how things will go but no better season for Klopp to join. All the big teams are faltering so there is wiggle-room to get into the top 4.

I like Can a lot and think he has massive potential. He's not looked too sharp recently but I blame that more on the Brodge doldrums. Brodge has installed an attitude of mediocre is acceptable.

Can looks quite good at U21 level (international), but a lot of players do. He could turn out to be a top class CM but, as of yet I have seen little to assume he will be any better than above average.

I think we need to see him in CM. He's not a CB and he's been average while playing there which isn't his fault. It's like playing carragher as CM or Gerrard at CB in a back 3!

I wonder if Benteke has a future with Klopp. He's not exactly the type of player you think of with Klopp- that and he's not exactly played well for us (maybe he's one Klopp can improve).

I wonder if Benteke to Klopp will be what Carroll was to Rodgers.

Klopp could turn him into the next lemondropsky :bandit:

seriously though, used right Benteke could be deadly and not as a big target man to lump it too.

I think Benteke has lots of talent. If nothing else, he's proven that. But he's not very hard working and not very mobile.

Can Klopp get him to be more athletic and mobile? Probably has a better chance at that than Brodge had.

  19. I agree tbh, I just think he looks better because we have such a poor squad. He's not a poor player, he's worth keeping, but he's not the dogs bollox either.

There are a lot of strikers who only come alive in the last 20 mtrs, as long as the rest of the team do their job this striker will score the goals.
