Given all the rumours and talk this last week, I think it's fair to say that this isn't a snap decision on the back of a few games. Also given that I thought we played alright today and it certainly wasn't a sacking in reaction to a poor display/result (Stoke last season, for example) would suggest that this has been in the pipe line for a while and that they've got someone lined up.Sacking him is one thing. Owners now need to replace him with quality.
Wish Rodgers all the best. He was the manager of an incredible 13/14 season and was incredibly close.

Christ!
Everton have just announced they're extending Martinez's contract another 5 years after exceeding the club's expectations for today's game

I'd like to go downhill in that direction. There was a report this morning that LFC had rented and furnished a flash house, Southport way for the new manager, but I thought it was a wind up, clearly not.
I think Rodgers started going downhill after he left his Mrs and started shacking up with the younger bird.
This has come off the back of a half decent result.. which means that's it's definitely not a knee jerk decision.
I wonder if the board said at the start of the season, we'll see where we are come the Internationals and 8 league games plus a few cup and European games and unfortunately results and mainly performances haven't been up to scratch.
I loved the seasons under Rafa, but that season under Rodgers with SAS was by far the season I enjoyed the most in my life time even if we didn't win anything. Will always be remembered in for that for me![]()
