Interesting paper talk today, what about these options... 1- Max Gradel - Covered in another article, so i'll leave it at that. 2 - Keisuke Honda - Blackburn have bid £7million, he's seemingly keen on coming to England. Cheaper than a certain Frenchman, and arguably a better player, deadly left boot, and a set play specialist in a way Beckham & Carlos could only wet dream about (i think i read he'd scored 40(!) free kicks in his career, despite his young age) 3 - Matty Taylor - Seems he may go for around £1.2million. The lad has always impressed me, good on the ball, mobile, great left peg and the ability to score from range, that is a pittance, and that has got to be worth a look. We could buy all 3 for less than a Zog, insane.
Aye Honda fireblade, about the same speed as his free-kicks... Now that would cause interest for SAFC in a foreign land.......
I like the idea of Honda ! Would be a better buy than the effin' french t**t ! Sorry - just gettin a tad hacked off with the whole Insomnia saga - does it show ?
He'd strike a great accord with the fans. silksworthexile, You me and the moon mate, sick of hearing about the little bastard.
Sorry to piss on your fire, but Honda will end up at a top European club. Unless Blackburn are prepared to throw away their entire transfer and wage budget in one fell swoop, then they wont even have a slight chance of signing him.
He isn't even being linked this summer mate, can you think of any top clubs looking for a left sided midfielder? I sure can't.
Hes still far too good for us and Blackburn, and Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with him. Think I read Bayern were keen too.
Liverpool are out the running now though with Downing, Arsenal maybe, but the link was a while back. If he fancies England, it's not impossible.
Maybe Villa will end their interest in The Nameless One, and go a couple of million cheaper for Honda, letting us swoop for you-know-who.
Honda, he'd be a bit of a risk coming to England from foreign climes, (Senor Angeleri?), but he does look class.s
Bit different mate, he excelled in Holland, and bar a couple of notable exceptions, lads from the Eiridivisie have done well here, and he's done well in a physical Russian league as well.
I would love to get Honda, he looks ruddy brilliant. Same as Matty, unfortunately I think he's destined for a top club- or if not, at least one who can offer European football. Saying that then if he is set on England BB, I agree we've got as good a chance as any. Spurs, Liverpool, Utd, City and Arsenal all have their left sides sorted- and (Chelsea aside) we have as good a chance as anyone else.
