I'm starting to appreciate my luck, having read this. Crystal clear all night in North Yorkshire! Enjoyed it. It could have done with a bit more pace like, but won't grumble. <laugh>

Bit cloudy/foggy at about 1.30 am but bright as hell after that, and great through my 4" lens binoculars !, tried to get a photo but no success, even with my brother's £1000 canon. There is an app he has got with the solar system and is brilliant, showing you everything in the sky.

blimey a 1000 quid camera that's not capable of a Luna image ? - I'd take the bugger back to the shop and get my money back

I knew nothing about it until I was driving home on Sunday Night/Monday morning - deep black sky and the moon was huge then it just went a copper red colour (I was listening to CD's all the journey up to Amble and back which, I guess, is why I knew nothing about it!!).

Looked amazing and I was in complete awe when the colour changed - I flicked radio 2 on and they were talking about it
