Hey funky. If you're still up, you can see it live at : http://www.space.com/19195-night-sky-planets-asteroids-webcasts.html There's nowt to see at the moment - it's just black. But around 4.23 a.m. you should start to see it going through the same colour changes only in reverse, so to speak. Hope that helps, mate.
Was great viewing in the Caribbean last night apparently it was a 'marvellous show with a calypso of the moon' ... missing your input on the NASA thread mate
I'm starting to appreciate my luck, having read this. Crystal clear all night in North Yorkshire! Enjoyed it. It could have done with a bit more pace like, but won't grumble.
Bit cloudy/foggy at about 1.30 am but bright as hell after that, and great through my 4" lens binoculars !, tried to get a photo but no success, even with my brother's £1000 canon. There is an app he has got with the solar system and is brilliant, showing you everything in the sky.
blimey a 1000 quid camera that's not capable of a Luna image ? - I'd take the bugger back to the shop and get my money back
I knew nothing about it until I was driving home on Sunday Night/Monday morning - deep black sky and the moon was huge then it just went a copper red colour (I was listening to CD's all the journey up to Amble and back which, I guess, is why I knew nothing about it!!). Looked amazing and I was in complete awe when the colour changed - I flicked radio 2 on and they were talking about it
