that right there on 91 mins encapsulated all that is wrong with us.

Great effort to gt back to 2-2. but frustrating.

If we were 3 points behind the leader, i'd actually be quite...amused or content with that last 15 mins performance and the draw.

However in the circumstances though, we need to win, we need points, we need fabregas to defend corners, we need zouma and ivanovic to defend aimless balls from deep.

frustrating, because scratch out those lapses of CONCENTRATION, we were keeping them at arms length.

same thing against swansea, same against everton, same against palace.

we just arent thinking.
 
Great relegation tussle. Newcastle need to be winning games like this against their rivals if they want to escape the drop <ok>

Lol, me thinks your manager needs to keep his big mouth shut about Wenger, and concentrate on actually getting your team saved from relegation? Or nah, Mo knows that he all he has to do is talk trash about Wenger, and Chelski fans will be jumping up and down in happiness for their special one.
 
Ugh so frustrating. All that needs to be said. At least we didn't get the result we deserved and lose.
 
The worrying thing for you Chelsea boys must be that you're clearly going to be coming up against far stiffer opposition than the Toon, and I'm not sure you're going to be able to cope very well. God forbid you play like that against us big boys!

Worry is that the inconsistency I thought we were "over" is still here.

To be fair, and nobody else will say this, because objectivity isnt what people do:

This newcastle team that we played today, did not play like a team with 2 points in the relegation zone.

They had pace, power, technical ability an a great home crowd behind them.

Yes we did drop two points, but considering how much they needed to put in a performance this week, I dont consider losing out to NEWCASTLE as the problem. In hindsight we were caught cold on this one, and many other teams would have fared the same on the evidence of their performance today.

Given Jose's record at St James's this is a point gained rather than two points lost - one thing still escapes me is why does Ivan & Fab still make the team? Perhaps it's time to change the rose-tinted glasses Jose.

As long as Jose consistently screws up, we are doomed.

I would have even taken 3 points from 7 games - if Jose bloods the youngsters.
Heck even they wouldn't have made it this bad 8 pts from 7 games.

I would have settled for a point as well, if Toon were not this bad and we weren't worse.

Only positive is City losing 2 in a row. 7 pts gap is lot better than 13 pts gap.
City want us in the title race. Will Jose be interested or will he continue to be like Arsene?
Like - do the same thing and expect different results!! <doh>

would not look into the result to much, cause man u couldnt beat us at there place ... as i remember and they are top of the league

i'm not turning on him.

the people that are cant see the wood for the trees, ivanovic wasnt a 10/10 performer, but i cant really blame him for either goal. that was zouma's ball any day for the first, 55,000 people in the stadium were looking at that looping easy ball and thinking that the cb was going to head it away, as was ivanovic. maybe he could of reacted quicker (he could have done more defo) but it wasn't him that caused that situation. set piece lack of concentration on the second.

as I said earlier and jose said after match, 2 incidents totally isolated from the game, we weren't really in trouble before that.

these are problems that keep creeping back in, and a manager cant do anything about this. we pressed the arsenal, pressed macabi haifa, pressed walsall, then didn't do it gainst newcastle:

why? because the players aren't thinking, whether thats confidence or whatever this is down to players just not doing their jobs, Maybe jose needs to shout more, but i find it hard to lay the blame at his door.

a manager cant legislate for experienced players not doing their jobs, fabregas should have tracked that corner run, but he didn't why? becauuse he wasn't thinking.

the easy thing to say/do would be to say "get rid of fabregas" but fabregas after that could easily have had an assist if pedro scored the chance had laid on a plate for him. if fabregas was off who'd be supplying remy who needs balls from deep as he plays on the last shoulder, who'd step in and creat to his extent?

basically, jose is ****ed because he has a good squad there, he's telling them what to do, and they just aren't performing.

we could either sack him and go into the wilderness for 10 years, or keep our heads and hope the players start to do the same. I know which i'd rather do.

I was responding to others above, but if you're not one George then fair enough. But what are you saying then, he's lost the dressing room? Complacency from the players? Or are they not good enough? It has to be one of those at the very least and possibly more than one of those? This is Mourinho, but the stuff you're saying - Jose is telling them what to do but they aren't listening - is the kind of stuff you expect of Wenger. People may joke about Jose's 3 year cycle but there's some truth to it tbf. We're not seeing a quality manager doing his job, we're seeing someone who's running out of ideas and is blaming everyone else and feeling sorry for himself.

Theres a difference treb, we arent turning on jose. No one has shouted for jose out minus standman. However that doesnt mean we cannot criticise what we think are poor line up selections or poor tactics (minus george). Just like you not happy with van gaals crab football, doesnt mean you want him out either
 
Jose: It was so bad I wanted to make 6 subs for 2nd half. Yet he started with the same 11 and he will continue with same 11 until there is mutual separation once again.

Again- I dont want Jose out, but looks like Jose wants out - Simples.

I am just pointing lets get over with this sooner and have a fresh start.
Even Avram or AvB would have reached more than 10 pts with this squad.

Lets look on the positive,as directed.
We didn't lose !
Joses" subs were inspired, as they once always were.
Willian is the new super free kick specialist.
There was a bit of fight shown in the second half.

An observation, our defenders seem to regard the half way line as a Stop sign, our attackers do the same with the opposition penalty box. Once at those positions, we usually come to a halt and start the backwards and sideways play. No one seems to want to attack the goals or run at the opponents. Hazard did once, and so did Pedro, and both times we looked more dangerous. Is it just lack of confidence ?
 
Such a shame we couldn't close that gap by 3 points having seen City get stuffed.

But once again Newcastle raise their game against us and we drop points there. So frustrating!

But a point is better than none and saving the damage another defeat may have had on us too. Closed the gap by a point and it's not all THAT bad.

Would've taken a point before the game and after being 2-0 down I think a draw is an even better result. We are always poor in the North East, for whatever reason.

However, i do agree with some on the team selection though. I'm just a supporter but I could tell you before every single game, at least 9 of the starting XI. I could also tell you, how we will line up, what the tactic is, who plays where and pretty much everything else about us. The only way we win a game is if there is some magic from someone (usually Hazard) or Pedro against WBA is a good example. It's just the personnel that isn't changing its absolutely everything else.
