You know i'm right. Just look at the foundations of the sport & the foundations of RL in England. That's before you get to the fans who go to Twickenham. The Tarquins, Lawrences, Hugos of this world. On a serious note, Football is already destroying itself as well. How much was it tday at City? £27 in the second division. Not good is it?
Oh dear. We mustn't criticise any utterances by anyone from Hull no matter how parochial, narrow minded and inaccurate they are. In fact his remark was bigoted ****e.
Who said you can't? I simply asked why you associate with a place and it's people when you seem to loath both so much, so why do you?
Hull FC was started by public schoolboys from York, wasn't it? All this stuff about it being for toffs is nonsense nowadays. The best supported RU,club is Leicester, which is hardly a centre of toffdom. RU is most popular in Cornwall which has some of the lowest paid folk in the country.
I support Hull City for the simple reason it was my nearest football club. Have done for over 50 years through thick and thin.unlike so many Hull born people who deserted them in bad times and chose to associate themselves with clubs from other cities. Pointing out when people from Hull are talking crap doesn't mean you loathe them. Stop being such a thin-skinned drama queen. No doubt you are presently looking for something negative to write about the East Riding and its residents to,show your loathing of them.
You can't whine about someone making a sweeping generalisation and inaccuracies by replying with more and bigger sweeping generalisations and inaccuracies. I don't loathe the east riding, I love the place and many of its people. If I've criticised it, it tends to be to bighlight the hypocritical bigoted ****e from you and a couple of others like you. Someone from a village should perhaps think first before describing someone from a University City and a port as 'typical parochial Hull'.
What sweeping generalisations did I make in my reply? I,would have thought someone wishing for Hull to progress from being a bit of a provincial backwater would be rather dismayed by the insular, small town attitudes of some of its citizens.
Anyway, before the village bigot whined in, a good physical and spirited encounter with South Africa and Samoa. I'm not sure about 'swing low' being sung at non England games, but at least people are getting involved and making the most of a great occasion.
Okay, I guess that means you'll be contentedly miserable in whatever place you exist. Have a go at talking about rugby rather than cluttering the thread up with your miserable, bigoted ****e.
Doesn't bother me in the slightest, I've personally paid more than £750 for tickets for this tournament, more than I've ever paid for RL internationals. I think its great people have got behind the tournament, I just feel for the genuine RU fans that have been priced out of the event because people like me (who have little interest in RU) are willing to pay silly prices for the tickets.
My FA Cup semi final and FA Cup final tickets combined were cheaper than my ticket to New Zealand V Argentina.
Well a packed out Villa Park have just seen the Springboks beat Samoa quite convincingly 46-6. Now for the big one England v Wales at Twickers.
Can't wait for the game, Burgess starting makes it even more interesting, he's going to be out of his depth but he's got the potential to do something special, should be great viewing.
