Everywhere we go, we're the Rangers boys, making all that noise, everywhere we go! That was the best away day experience I've had in a long time, maybe ever. At half time we were 3-0 down and things went mental behind the stands where the beer is sold. It started out with a bunch of us singing former player's songs, then turned into "we're ****in ****" then in the second half turned into "everywhere we go" in the stands. I paid very little attention to the football in the second half and just basked in the glory of being a QPR supporter. One thing to mention; there seems to be a chasm between the supporters and the club at the moment, due to the last few awful seasons. The QPR supporters who support no matter what vs. the drama and shenanigans going on inside the club which has created the turmoil in terms of league positions and performance. Being a QPR supporter is no longer about what the team is up to but is about supporting our crazy club whatever happens. It's about being QPR.
How is it bizarre? Oh wait, it contains passion for being a QPR fan. Sorry, erase it quickly. Replace it with something negative.
Jim, I'm partly ashamed to admit this (only partly mind) but when I seen you boys cheering and dancing when we was being hammered, I was embarrassed.
**** you. I've had a few drinks and enjoyed my night out supporting QPR and singing QPR on 'til way after the final whistle. I'm aware that, of course, I wasn't speaking for every fan. But I'm making a point that there's a different vibe amongst a lot of QPR supporters these days where a lot of fans are remembering the more enjoyable days and are disillusioned by recent affairs.
That's where my part shame came in. You lads had paid good money and made the effort to go there and do your thing so who was I to turn my nose up at it? But the embarrassment at it persisted and still does to a certain extent. A hoard of inebriated Neros fiddling while Rome burned to the ground. God I hope you lads don't do that again live on TV
Fair play to you for going to the game, but I was embarrassed to hear those numbskull songs that you seem to be proud of.
'We're ****ing ****, we're ****ing ****, we're ****ing **** - we're ****ing **** - we're ****ing ****!' Sing along everyone.
I cringed when I heard the chorus of '' We're ****ing **** we're ****ing ****'' echo around the ground for most of the second half. I completely get the gallows humour, but how does any right thinking soul feel that's correct? It's embarrassing and sheeplike. We do have a lot of ****ers among us.
I was impressed with the away following, regardless of the content of what they were singing. Noisy until the end
