BR: "whether I am here for one day more, one month, one year, I will always have huge respect for the owners here."

@JamesPearceEcho 37s37 seconds ago
Rodgers: "I want to be here for a long period. I'll prepare my team to prepare exciting dynamic football."

I'm very disappointed to be honest and want it over and done with. The idea of it all failing for him is horrible, but the whole situation is an epic fail and I can't see it changing anytime soon, so I suppose we just watch and wait.

If we don't beat Villa...

Nope.

Beecroft didn't say he'd be replaced today, he said they were actively seeking his replacement and it was merely a matter of time until he was shown the door.

According to Twitter it would be announced at the news conference this Beescroft bloke said BUT I knew it wouldn't happen! <laugh><rofl>

I don't think we can sack him now. We have Everton, Spurs, Chelsea and City all away coming up in the next month or two, surely that would be chucking a new manager in to the fire?

Only if a new manager was appointed immediately. Let Macca take temporary charge <whistle>

No Astro and all opposition fans want him to stay <ok>

I think we have other issues that need resolving before a new man comes in but yes, Brod needs to go now. I appreciate everything he's tried to do, he's just not been good enough unfortunately.

Or more specifically I don't want him sacked with no better replacement lined up and no other staff able to be caretaker, 2 days before our next PL game and on the back of a cup win

Mad isn't it

If you mean Gary McCallister from what I've read he's as deluded as Rodgers! <doh>

As for John Barnes, who I love to bits, he's saying back him don't sack him. Well, we've been backing him for three seasons and now it's the fourth season!

From astrofurnaut: "Or more specifically I don't want him sacked with no better replacement lined up and no other staff able to be caretaker, 2 days before our next PL game and on the back of a cup win"

I'm just wondering if that's why he's not been sacked yet, because those they really want haven't said yes or they're not interested.

Personally, I think he'll be here until Christmas at least, regardless of where we are in the table. I think he's got the owners by the short and curlies. If they'd had any backbone they would have sacked him after the Stoke result last season, but they didn't, now they're stuck with a tenant they can't shift and so are we.

Those are just some of the many many issues the [HASHTAG]#rodgersout[/HASHTAG] brigade fail to understand

Here's another one to add to the pile: why the **** would you kill a new manager by having them come in right before Everton away, Tottenham away, Southampton home, Chelsea away, Palace home, Man City away ?

Or alternatively, why leave a man in charge that will get precisely jack **** from those five games <laugh>

So in my eyes beescroft isnt a big tit yet. Monday will reveal if he is a large breasticle.

The chances are that Rodgers won't get anything much from these matches and any interim manager (one of the coaches or deputies) surely cannot do worse. At least it will give a boost which every change of manager invariably gives. And we may even get more points than we would under rodgers. The new guy can take over after a few weeks.

Much better put the club, players and fans out of their misery. I suspect it might be kinder for Rodgers too.

Even if a candidate existed you can't have an interim manager for 2 months. It will be a horrible failure, with the club falling into more and mor chaos every week while a new full time manager isn't appointed. You also don't get a performance boost with a new manager who is clearly only temporary.

Lets just accept being **** and losing then <ok>
