I think a lot of it is thanks to Faurlin. When he plays we pass our way up the pitch. A one-two with Henry, a pass to Luongo, back to Faurlin, to Austin's feet, back to Faurlin etc.

It means we are less direct and there's less space between the midfield and Austin. If Faurlin and Austin are fit all season I think we are nailed on for playoffs. The likelihood of that happening is slim, however.

Faurlin is the classic link up player. He recycles possession and keeps things ticking over. Surely one of the best midfield players in the league?

Seems CR is taking care with how much he uses Ale which probably reduces the chances of a new bad injury for him. Tozser may do ok in his role. But I wonder too if he will do the same with Austin - probably difficult now with Poltiera injury, but he could probably use a break too.

When fit there's no one in this league I'd swap him for. Bradley Johnson went for £6m. If he didn't have the knee issues I think we'd have sold him a long time ago for big money.

Understandably so and he'll know better than us how often he can play. Toszer doesn't seem as willing and/or able to get up the pitch. Seems to stay in line with Henry creating a big gap between them and the rest of the midfield. The bloke can definitely pass a ball though.
 
I have always liked Ale. He was very good in both Leagues before his bad injury at Blsckburn. But he needs someone with a bit of speed, smarts and muscle alongside him, which we have rarely had. Derry did good at Championship level. M'bia looked a good bet to me later but perhaps lacked the savvy. Perhaps Sandro and Ale would make a decent pairing?

It would keep the physios busy if nothing else.

Sounds like as job for.....DIAKITE!!!!!!

Faurlin is my favourite current QPR player by a long, long way. But if you build style around a player who you daren't play week in week out you are asking for trouble if you haven't got a like for like back up. I haven't seen Tozser play, is he up to it?

Nothing is a job for Diakite. Nothing at all.

Toszer is probably the nearest we've got to Faurlin and I expect him to come good. Certainly was popular at Watford but looked poor in his two games so far.

I'm sure Diakite would be useful for taking Traore on a long walk in the woods.

Diakite relaxed would stroll it.
 
I have said on this forum on many an occasion that Ale is the most naturally gifted player we've had at the club for a lot of years, I just hope he stays fit.
 
GABRIELE ANGELLA: ‘A POSITIVE POINT’

“We played with good personality, especially in the first half, when I thought we deservedly went in front.
“The second half was tougher, a bit tighter, but I think we showed good spirit to get the point.
“We are happy with the draw, at a tough stadium, but now we have to focus on picking up three points in our next game.”
He added: “If we defend all together, like I said last week, it is easier for everybody – and we did that at Hull.
“We have to play like a team and if we do, we have the quality to compete this season.”
Charlie Austin was on target yet again at the KC Stadium and Angella was full of praise for the R’s in-form number nine.
“I hope Charlie's goals continue,” he said.
“He is so important to us and he will always score goals if he is given the right service.

SETTLING IN: Angella has impressed since his loan move from Watford
“We have a lot of important players in attacking areas and when they all play well, we look very good going forward.”
Angella, of course, was part of Watford’s promotion-winning squad last season and he can see similarities with his new team-mates, adding: “I think we have the same qualities as Watford – we have a good team, goalscorers, a system that is flexible, and we're working hard to improve.
“Last year, in the middle of the season, Watford were sixth or so, which just shows that nothing is decided at this stage of the campaign.
“But we need to turn draws into wins and if we do that, we will climb the table.”
Next up for Rangers is the short trip to Craven Cottage, the home of west London rivals Fulham on Friday night, and Angella is only too aware of the importance of the local derby for Rangers fans.
“I know how important derby games are to the supporters – and it is very important to us as players as well,” he said.
“We have to prepare for this match in the best possible way, which we will do this week.
“Derby games are exciting – the passion of the supporters is always really high.
“I think if we play with the same mentality at Fulham, we can do well and get the win.
“It's going to be a good game, but a game we must win for our fans.
