Firstly, I thought LVG played long ball not crab football? You seem confused.

Secondly, I believe this is yours!

"We have made a statement that we shall compete for the title," Van Gaal said.
"You cannot expect a title from a team in transition. But when we are close we shall grab it."

Can a Manc explain has Van Gaal declared they will compete for the title or not? Or will it turn out he was just tricked again into repeating something the media said?

TalkSport are discussing Costa.

One presenter said he was just a old fashioned player that likes to get sick in like players such as Shearer, Ferhguson and co.

Collymore (who is usually a tool) ripped him to bits saying those players played hard but fair. Costa is just the snidy kid in the playground with the interest in fair game, his sole interest is hurting his opponent; injury or sending off.

I'm all for him winding people up, no problem in that at all... it's only when he oversteps the mark that he turns into a ****. The stamping, the elbow/pushing in the face etc...

Martial as made a very good start but it is also very early days. Obviously, from your perspective it is better that he started well than not.

I just think the first game comparisons to Henry were cringeworthy at best. Good goal but shockingly bad defender to allow it to happen, Martial hardly moved never mind touching the ball. Not saying he won't or can't come good, clearly the lad as ability.

Out of curiosity, who was defending against him ... <whistle>
