Did anyone hear Ryan Mason's voice in the interview before the game? Him and Kane having a conversation would be hilarious!
Tricky, are you the type of bloke who goes up to cripples in wheelchairs and dances, singing "Look what I can do? I can dance!"
How much did the Spuds have to give Adebayor to palm him off ? He was reportedly asking for £5m. And to think that West Ham wanted to buy him not so long ago, but Levy let his hate of the Hammers over the Olympic stadium get in the way. The 'Shrewd Genius' strikes again http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34237362
We would have paid him what he was legally entitled to, no more. If anything, it might have been less, as Adebayor can now get on with his life. Obviously, what ever it was that the Spanners offered us and/or Adebayor for his services clearly was not enough. I'm sure that Levy would have loved nothing more than to have inflicted the twat on the Spanners.
Clearly he didn't, otherwise he would have sold him to them. Instead, he had to pay off Adebayor to get rid of him. He's about as much of a genius as you are HIAG
Adebayor wanted to be paid in full and go to West Ham for nothing. Only an idiot would suggest taking that deal.
It's probably a negligible difference in the end to be honest. Either paying and letting him go on a free or paying to terminate his contract. The Hammers will probably sign him up anyway now and he'll find his form and score a hat-trick against Spurs
Paying him and letting him go to West Ham would be an advantage to another Premier League side and none to Spurs. Why would the club agree to that? Pay the money and benefit another side or pay the money and don't benefit another side? Pretty simple. You're also assuming that there was nothing in the pay-off agreement that would stop him signing for another club. We simply don't know whether that's true. It's quite funny to see you hoping to see this bloke playing well, though: please log in to view this image Let's hope that if he does score against us, then none of our fans will chuck bananas at him, like yours did, eh?
Why? That makes no sense. There could be a clause that prevents him signing for anyone else, any other Premier League side or even any English league side.
There could be but I doubt it. Spurs wanted rid, you even paid him to get shot. I don't think you were in much of a bargaining position.
We didn't have anything to lose by not cancelling his contract. We could have just made him train with the kids for a season or even put him on gardening leave.
Apart from continuing to pay his wages, which ironically you've probably done anyway in the severance pay off.
South Korea forward Son, signed for a reported £22m, was brought in to help ease the burden on goalless Harry Kane - last season's 31-goal man. However, most of his deliveries were poor and he air-kicked when he had the chance to score from six yards in the first half. He came off in the 62nd minute Does anybody have a link to the clip of this.
