I assumed that our Derby game would get the nod but WTF re. Brizzle ?

Surely Middlesboro (h) is a much bigger game ?

NB... Middlesboro v QPR is being shown friday 20th Nov. ko 7.45pm

I think they have to give every championship team a certain amount of games. We are obviously a big game for BC
Surprised this weekend's game isn't on (top of the table clash & all that), but I suppose they schedule/distribute fixtures well in advance and won't start cherry-picking "big" matches until close to the end of thes eason when all teams have had a fair crack at exposure.
Does that mean no streams likely to be available for Brighton ?

I don't think they have to. It's a much more lenient contract than the PL one is.

Sky tend to "share the games" out until Christmas. They'll start picking games for the title race/battle for the play-offs when it's much clearer who'll be there. Oh and they'll continue to pick Leeds. Why break the habit of a life time?

Unfortunately Burnley v Sheff Wed is the 3PM World feed Championship game this Saturday and not Brighton v City

They have to televise everyone, that's partly what led to the Huddersfield/WYP shambles last time.
Yeah they do have to be televised at least once.

But I don't think there's as much of a quota as there is in the PL contract... Ie each team must be televised a number of times home and away and then x amount of times in each slot (Sat lunch, sat eve, Sunday 1:30, Sunday 4:00 and Monday night).

I think the football league contract is less strict.

They are able to cherry pick one game a week, like our game against Charlton being televised the other week. Those get picked up by the international feed and are taken from the 3pm kick offs, so they can be picked quite late since it doesn't disrupt the schedule.

That makes sense .We (in Ontario at least) usually get 2 games per week. It must be that one game is pre-scheduled well in advance, and the second game is chosen based on it's relative importance to league position, local derby etc. The schedulers probably will wait until say the second half of the season to start refining the choice of the second game when the league positions are indicating a solid trend.
Mind , only the QPR vs Forest game is scheduled this weekend for live transmission on BEIN (in Ontario).
